I think you have to in Seattle or you'll get blown out. Seattle not only has a nasty defense, but the 12th man also makes it just that much harder. The noise plays a huge factor, I know last year when the saints played them they really struggled on communication.

Networks can exaggerate the crowd noise by simply turning up or down the mic that picks up the crown noise. Not sure why people base noise on what's coming through a TV screen. You can make any stadium sound loud or quiet on TV.
