Troy Polamalu- Sure, he will make a play or two, but he is being compared to Ed Reed and thats where its getting ridiculous. Hes made to look silly often, but his hair is so adorable no one seems to notice

Runner up-
Antonio Pierce- Slow, out of shape, weak, poor in coverage. Ive never seen a MLB w/ a bigger gut and smaller arms.

All rookie team-
Desean Jackson- He might be a playmaker, but hes about as sharp as a marsmallow peep. He also has questionable hands. We will ride with Eddie Royal or Donnie Avery.

I dont see how Jackson is overrated. He's gotten more attention for the negative plays than the postive ones. Either way, I can see him and Curtis being a great 1-2 Combo for the next coupleo of years in that WCO.

Yes Jackson is over rated. everyone makes a big deal out of his good plays and ignore all the stupid ones.

Was this posted by some fan on an ESPN message board or something?

It can't be an ESPN.com article. Even ESPN knows how to write simple sentences with proper punctuation.

I was wondering the same thing. Also the lack of cowboys on the list made me wonder :D

"Piece" was written by the OP, Mr. Jarrell.

Also MB4, Bob Sanders is way more overrated than Troy Polamalu, plus you could have made the same dig about his hair.

I disagree. When Bob Sanders is out the Colts defense stinks. When he is on the field they play a LOT better. He may not make a lot of big plays but he is the heart and soul of that defense.

That isn't even close to being true. The Colts defense without Bob Sanders is night and day. It's very tough to be over-rated when there is that much difference in how a defense performs with and without a player.

Yeah, poor us, we've been sucked in by the facts when your perception would have made a much more accurate barometer. I feel foolish now, please forgive me.

My forgiveness isn't necessary, that's silly talk. But your NFL Awareness could use a jolt if you think Bob Sanders is anything more than an average safety who plays in about 50% of games due to injury. I'm well aware of the mystical powers that have been attributed to his "presence on the field" by the sports media outlets, and I'm also well aware that when your starting free safety misses half the games your team plays and you have zero depth, you're going to notice his absence. But I'm not foolish enough to get "sucked" into thinking that makes Bob Sanders some sort of free safety dynamo.

I think Bob Sanders is over-rated to some degree only because the guy is a piece of glass. He can't stay healthy to save his life. I don't know the last time he actually played a full season of games. Has he ever been on the field for every game in a season yet without missing cause of injuries? I don't know if he's ever even done that.

I do agree also on the fact that there is zero depth on that team behind him so, yeah, people are obviously going to notice that the piss poor backups there play well below him.

I still think he clearly makes the defense a great deal better when he manages to actually bother being healthy and in the games.

That would be the major negative on him is his inability to stay healthy. He has missed significant portions of 3 of his 5 seasons in the NFL. But it also highlights the point that he does have a major impact on the defense when he is out there.

If people want to knock him for being too small and fragile, that is one thing, but he is a very talented player who makes a huge difference when he is on the field.

Antonio Pierce is out of shape...

You can see his gut hanging out ala Lendale White at 260 lbs in Rose Bowl.

D Jackson is and will be a stud for a long time. Hope Mcflubb gets traded and he as Kolb throwing him the ball.

In years past, Polamalu might have been a good fit, but for the past two seasons, he's really stepped up his game. Clearly, Bob Sanders is THE MOST OVERRATED player in the NFL.

And D. Jackson had a heckuva rookie campaign to be on that list.

This guy doesn't even have a clue putting Troy Polamalu on this list! I'd take a train load of this guy on my team anyday. You can put a bra and panties on the outside of his uniform to match his hair and I'd still take him over these apathetic losers the Cowboys have! If the Cowboys had 2 or 3 Polamalu's they'd be alot better team!

Polamalu overrated???!!! He had one down year and he's overrated. Funny stuff. Now, Pierce and Jackson overrated? I'd give those two a thumbs up no doubt.

Throw in last year's version of Ocho Stinko as well... They need to bring back Ickey woods in Cinci
