Polamalu overrated???!!! He had one down year and he's overrated. Funny stuff. Now, Pierce and Jackson overrated? I'd give those two a thumbs up no doubt.

Throw in last year's version of Ocho Stinko as well... They need to bring back Ickey woods in Cinci

Polamalu is a playmaker. He makes things happen. He is constantly around the ball. The guy goes flying through the air to make a play.

We have guys that cant even tackle guys on the ground.

Yeah Mick, that's what I was implying about Polamalu...

Sure wish Roy W. could play at that level still. oh well, different attacking scheme w/ different playmakers I guess.

Swap them and see what happens. RW is not even the tackler much less able to cover.

What a load of crap.

Polamalu is the best safety in football. Comparing him to Ed Reed shows unbelievable ignorance. Reed is a pure center fielder while Polamalu is the most complete strong safety the NFL has seen in years. He's great versus both the run and pass.

Paulamalu is NOT over-rated. He is what everyone thinks he is....one of the top 2-3 safeties in the NFL today.

Was this posted by some fan on an ESPN message board or something?

It can't be an ESPN.com article. Even ESPN knows how to write simple sentences with proper punctuation.

Thanks man

"Piece" was written by the OP, Mr. Jarrell.

Also MB4, Bob Sanders is way more overrated than Troy Polamalu, plus you could have made the same dig about his hair.

Thanks snitch

Here's an idea -- don't write something and pretend it came from a professional media source.

And when people expose what you did, don't resort to childish namecalling.

Troy Polamalu- Sure, he will make a play or two, but he is being compared to Ed Reed and thats where its getting ridiculous. Hes made to look silly often, but his hair is so adorable no one seems to notice

Runner up-
Antonio Pierce- Slow, out of shape, weak, poor in coverage. Ive never seen a MLB w/ a bigger gut and smaller arms.

All rookie team-
Desean Jackson- He might be a playmaker, but hes about as sharp as a marsmallow peep. He also has questionable hands. We will ride with Eddie Royal or Donnie Avery.
In my opinion, it's ridiculous for anyone to compare a free safety to a strong safety or visa versa. The primary thing associating the two positions is the word 'safety'. The responsibilities of both positions are not exactly the same. You may as well compare a fullback with a halfback since both are running backs.

ESPN must of gotten tired of people claiming Polamalu was a better run stopper AND centerfielder. B/C no one touches Ed Reed in the secondary.

I don't know why Polamalu is considered over rated and I despise the Stealers. I would take him first out of any choice of players from the Pittsburgh roster.

ESPN, huh? You still think people don't know that you wrote it yourself?

Saying that Troy P. is over-rated is just assinine.

The most over-rated palyer in the NFL is Carson Palmer, and has been since he came into the league;)
