Watching the NFL Matchup show (26th for Jaws & 14th year for Hoge) they made some surprising comments concerning the game with Dallas and New York on Sunday Night.

1. Jaws criticized Beckam Jr. saying that he was not impressed with him as he made a number of bad business decisions. He goes on to say that we will see how that play out.

2. On the Cowboys offense: Palantonio was quick to mention how last season, the Cowboy offense was primarily centered on the running game - and how Romo had the fewest pass attempts per game of the 16-game starters. He then reminded how Murray is with the birds now. This was not surprising.

3. Jaws responded: "They will run that offense EXACTLY the same way! If it is not broke - don't fix it." "You have one of the premiere offensive line in the NFL. It I a road-grader offensive line. No matter who is in the backfield, the running back by committee, they will get positive yards. This open the play-action ability and the passing game still runs through Jason Witten." He would repeat if it is not broke - don't fix it.

4.Hoge focused on the Giants and their issue on defense. He would go on to say that if Dallas gets them to focus on the Cowboy running game, it will further dilute that secondary.

5. When Palantonio mention that Dallas will attack the middle of the field, Hoge responded they will attack that front seven. Jaws piped in that the Giants have a problem at linebacker, problem in the secondary, and they also have a problem with their pass rush as well.

They are expecting the Cowboys to win big.

My only issue here is, in past history, when Dallas gets love from the guys on this show, the Cowboys do not normally play to that expectation. Let's hope tomorrow is different.

However, there was NO MENTION of the Cowboys PASS RUSH!

Thought I would pass this on.

Because all they do is repeat the company line. That's why I put no credence in anything these guys say. And what does ODB's business decisions have to do with the football game:facepalm:

Yeah. At first I thought he meant that Beckam alligator-armed balls for fear of taking a hard hit.

I read that as Jaws is concerned about the sophomore slump.

Great post, Go Cowboys :starspin:

Thats gotta be what he meant.? I guess i dont recall him letting up on routes over the middle

Interesting that Jaws (former Eagirl) was speaking truth about the Cowboys.

Actually, I don't recall it either, but I did hear (don't remember which show) he complained to the refs last season that DBs were trying to purposely injure him. I don't know though.

This coming from the team that told players to fall down when they needed a time out? Thats like the Patriots calling out other teams for cheating.

One thing that is not getting a lot of attention is Linehan's having a season's worth of film to evaluate and make adjustments. Last year was the staff and players learning one another. Now is the time for significant gains.

I'm so stoked for this season.

Great point. I hope we see more new plays, etc. Like we had the screen pass to Harris last year, a screen to Lucky in the open field, Dez in the slot running crossing routes all day would be money almost every time!
