I really like Rousseau but 10 just seems high for him because he is very much a project.

Would you do the unthinkable and pull the trigger on DeVonta Smith in this situation?

Why is it that Ja'Marr Chase consistently being mocked above DeVonta?

I haven't paid attention to college football in a few years, you seem pretty in tune.

I think size. Smith is frail. No knock on him what so ever. Just trying to say why some may prefer chase

I would pull the trigger on Waddle, but probably not DeVonta, at 10.

I like Waddle at 10 just because he gives the Cowboys WR corps an element that it doesn't have - over the top, explosive speed. As good as the Cowboys WRs are, they don't have that.

Chase is just...better lol. Bigger, stronger, faster. Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure Waddle was more productive in the games he played than Smith.

170 pounds is definitely on the small side, though he completely dominated in college. Will be interesting to see if he can make the transition.

Interesting. I wouldn't want a WR at #10 since we are already embarrassingly rich at the position, but seemed pretty shocked to see DeVonta fall.

The value in a WR at 10, big picture, is that it gives you a lot more freedom with Amari and Gallup after this year.

I like Waddle because of the speed element, short-term, but I also think you're better off with Gallup, Lamb, Waddle/Smith than you are with Amari. I think Amari is a great player, but I just don't love the body language/intangible type stuff and I also don't trust that foot injury. Plus, Gallup is going to be a little bit cheaper. I just don't think you lose anything in how the offense functions if you swap Amari out for one of those guys.

Fair take.

I think I am much, much, higher on Amari than you are. I think he's a top 5 WR in the league and one of the best finesse WRs of all time. He's also just entering his physical prime.

I understand the benefit of the additional flexibility with Amari and Gallup, but it will give us arguably 4 potential #1 WRs, meanwhile we have like 10 needs on defense.

Amari's not top-5 though I'd probably call him top 10...but there are several guys in the league who can do what he can, and there are very few who can do the sorts of things that Waddle does.

Agreed, but you don't get anybody at #10 who makes your defense much better than someone you get at 44 or 75. The difference between Micah Parsons and, say, Nick Bolton, in terms of overall defensive performance, is pretty much non-existent. I'd say the same thing about the corners.

Big part of why I am a starting to very much favor a trade down out of #10, I think this drafts strength is from the mid second through mid fourth round. Not many prototype-like players.

Lol yea - I have no appetite for staying put at 10.

In that scenario, I would be staring at the phone waiting for someone to call to trade up for Lance. Otherwise, I think I am taking whichever CB I have rated the highest.
