I'm already paying 50 a month for Ticket from my tv provider up here, I hate to think what I will pay next year ;)

When I started, I remember it was like 20 a month on another provider, even considering inflation, that is a large increase

I'm sick of the DirecTV monopoly. You miss the beginning of late games and all kinds of nonsense. I guess we're stuck with it.

When do you miss the beginning of games? I've had Sunday ticket for years and have never had an issue with the beginning of any game. I've also never had any issues with customer service. Quite the opposite. Whenever I have had to call,I usually get an actual person fairly quickly. And they've always been very nice.

I've had it for 15 years now so I can't really compare it to anything else. But I have friends who have Dish and I can't say it's any better. To each their own I guess.

They doing that video game offer anymore? Like $100 gets you Sunday ticket for your computer along with the latest football game (Madden I think? I didn't play it). The stream worked quite well last year, and I may be interested in going that route again if available.

Welp...........Looks like Directv can continue to offer crappy customer service w/ their monopoly on the NFL.

What kills me is the stupidity of all the smart guys. How much more could they make if they offered the same deal to multiple providers...

I would imagine the NFL's front office has a small army of finance geeks pushing the numbers to see what outcome would bring in the most $$$. You could be right, but then again I highly doubt the NFL would compromise on a less profitable venture.

I don't think that had anything to do with directv.

I think it has more to do with weird league rules.

Lucky for me Sunday Ticket is for non Cowboy games.

I've never had an issue either.

It reminds me of a something my girl told me

"If you run into an ******* in the morning you ran into an *******, but if you run into *******s all day you're the *******."

Not sure what she was getting at but it makes sense.

When ATT put in their bid for DirectTV I'm sure that they let bit be known that they wanted to keep that monopoly on the Ticket. It's really DirectTV's only selling point.

No, that was with the Madden anniversary edition. I wish they did that again.

the thing I don't get is why JERRY has not figured out a way to have Direct TV only have one team that you can buy to see all of the Cowboys games

that be perfect IMO

the other games I don't even watch

I got mine for free this year

It is a lot more than let it be known. The ATT deal was subject to direct tv keeping exclusivity with Sunday Ticket. Really an incredible thing that a multimillion dollar merger is subject to obtaining some content from a sports league. Also direct tv partnering with Dan Patrick and now Rich Eisen for talk show content is no accident. They are going to market direct tv and uverse using the nfl while Comcast uses local baseball and basketball rights. It is a great time for the sports leagues. The crazy thing is the nfl is undervalued because of ownership structure.

Sometimes they don't show the beginning of a late game if there is a game on locally. They don't broadcast until that game is over which makes no sense because you pay for all games.

Dang..I was hoping to see NFL Gamepass in the states for 2015. I'm not looking forward to moving back, now. Gamepass is awesome, even with the sub par internet here in Germany.

The sale was contigent that DTV renegotiated and received the contrct form the NFL.
I had NFLST from 1997 until right before last year. I cancelled everything because the customer service rep was incompetent. When I complained, they didn't care, just offered me some BS deal to return.

I have AT&T U-Verse now. But their setup on the boxes are strange. Hopefully they can work something out to get NFLST without going back through DTV. As I never had an issue with them, except that rep.

If AT&T can't do the NFLST, I would consider a different cable company all together, if I know the have the NFL Network, like TWC or Comcast.

If Directv didn't have the sole rights to the NFL I'd bet @ least half of their customer base would leave. Having been a subscriber for 4 years now...They have horrible programming. Re-runs that never change. Over priced movie packages. Defective equipment. I've already have gone through 3 defective boxes in 4 years. My reception is beyond horrible on days it's windy. I've called and complained....and nothing ever changes. I finally cancelled Sunday ticket because it pisses me off they will give it away for free to new suckers....but people who have been loyal get shafted into 249.99. I'm thinking as soon as MLB is over I'm cancelling everything. Tired of paying through the nose to watch powder puff football that has become the NFL.

I''ve had DirecTV since there's been DirecTV and Sunday Ticket Since there's been Sunday Ticket, and I love them both.

The blackout of local late games is a pisser, though. If an early Washington game runs over, I miss the beginning of the Cowboys game. They used to unblack the first quarter of the late games in those cases, but not anymore.

It would be cool to get that Serbian (?) gamepass link working again. It was floating around the forum back in April but subsequently crashed...
