That's pretty cool stuff right there. Some people want to downplay it as the Bucs doing a lot of stuff wrong, and while that is the case, the Cowboys did a lot right on that play too.

I love this kind of content. Why doesn't the NFL put coaches tape of games online? Purchase through subscription. I bet a lot of us fans would buy it.

not to mention full mic'd up games, id pay $10 right now to be able to rewatch the whole game and hear Romo the whole time.

I love the break down showing Roy running a bit to the outside to widen the seam. Great play and great execution.

So would I. This vid was a nice compliment to the earlier miked up vid of Romo. NFL network should just show the whole vid unedited. I am sure it would get a ton of hits.

That's one of my favorite throws Romo has ever made here. Which is saying something.

But that's also the kind of pass Roy's other QBs couldn't make.

It's the beauty of the 2-TE set with Bennett. You essentially have 4 receivers out wide against a base formation. You're either (1) going to get one on one favorable matchups or (2) gaping holes in a zone somewhere.

And once they start trying to use dime packages against this formation, you toss a sweep to Felix with Davis pulling and you've got Bennett, Flo, Kosier, and Davis against a linebacker, DE, corner and a safety.

No, no, no!!!!!!

It has already been presented as fact all over the TV and Internet that all 3 of those TDs were the result of blown coverages. This is pure Cowboys propoganda. That play had nothing to do with Romo, RW11, or how Garrett designed it. It was simply bad defensive execution.

Absolutely true right here. There is never a such thing as a well-designed and well-executed play in Dallas. ;)

I've spent all week trying to get a Colts fan at work to realize that only one play was anyone running free. He first, having not seen highlights or anything, tried to say Romo threw short passes that went long due to bad tackling. After he saw the highlights, only one pass was the receiver even covered slightly. Blah blah blah

of course, no way anyone on the colts have EVER benefited from blown coverages, or bad tackling. They were just great routes and awesome passes by God.. er.. I mean Manning.

The real beauty of it is that I can't imagine ANYONE subbing in 4 CBs when we have 2 TEs in the game. Even if there's the threat of us lining up with Bennett and Witten wide, we could just as easily line up with both of them tight, single back, WRs split wide and then what are the extra 2 CBs going to do? The run would eat them alive.

The best they can do IMO is Nickel, maybe Nickel 3-3-5.

Meant nickel, not dime. Just so used to us running only dimes.

So many good things about that play. But the fact that Roy ran the route precisely is what made the play really special. Kitna is right Roy can run a post.

I didn't realize that was such a perfect pass. Thanks for the link, I enjoyed the heck out of that.
