satellite internet... ewwww. I tried that once and returned the direcpc dish the very next day to the retailer. lol... If you could have seen that guy's face. It was priceless.

I have Directv for the viewing pleasure and Bellsouth DSL for my internet service. I'm quite happy. I've never even so much as had a hiccup in my DSL service and it's always fast. My unshared connection is better than your shared connection. :p: :p: :p:

I have the exact same set up as you and I agree 100%. I've gotta have DTV for the Sunday ticket & I like my DSL better than the cable internet. My Mom has cable and my DSL runs about the same if not faster speed wise and is about $20 cheaper/month.

It doesn't make financial sense to use the Dish if you use cable internet, unless you've got cash to burn.

I guess I make no financial sense!! :laugh2:

I have cable internet from comcast and currently get 8 meg download speed, and 768 upload. I doubt your DSL does better than that. But hey, if it works for you then fine. I also use Direct TV for the Sunday ticket. It may be a waste of money, but I figure I'm a grown man, and I'm spend what I need to to make sure I have fast internet, as well as be able to watch every Cowboy game.

For those that don't have NFL network, I'm gonna try and have my broadcast PC up and running by Gametime. Watch for the thread.

My wife will kill me Saturday, I will have to use both VCRs, one to tape the Canadiens-Penguins game en francais from 4-7, and then the Cowboys from 5-9. Good thing we will be out most of the time so she won't be able to rag me legitimately for hogging both tvs

What's a VCR?
