You might be able to watch on SOPCast or TVU? Sometimes you'll get lucky with those to programs to be able to watch it online...

yeah there's a few sports bar's but san marcos is like monopolized by time warner and grande cable neither of which carry nfl network. the reason i'm asking is because i'd rather someone who knows something let me know than to get the phone book and call every bar in town if you get my drift

If you have or know anyone with Verizon's Fios tv you can watch the game there. Just a suggestion.

Make the sacrifice and call around town. It beats burning up the time and gas for a hour drive.

Only local channels within a certain radius of the city the team is based in get the game. Beaumont is probably a bit too far away from the Dallas area to get it.

Well, if you're in my attic, you're welcome to come downstairs and watch it with us.....:)

I'd call around town, and if I'd have to go to Austin/San Antonio, I would.

Guess i'm going to Buffalo Wild Wings then. That's not too bad, i guess.

Last year i pretty much lived at bw3's on Sundays after hurricane Rita, since i had no power for a month, and no cable for 6 weeks.

you can always watch it on the internet on sopcast.com

The NFL network allows this site to show the game. Now the reception is not the best when you expand the picture but at least you can actually watch the game. Also Collinsworth and Gumble really suck as game broadcasters.

Collinsworth I actually dont mind.

Gumble on the other hand is a complete *** hat. How in the world his last name is almost "humble", is beyond me. What a pompous sob.

My Sainted Mother called me today(lives in another state) and asked what channel NFL Network... she has Comcast. Gave her the bad news, and it's quite unfortunate as she's become a great Cowboys fan.

There exists a method of watching it on the internet, and I told her I'd find out and get back to her. Can anyone provide a link and is it relatively easy to use?

Thanks.

NFL is going to get themselves into huge trouble. Congress is actually contemplating removing their monopoly exhemption status because of this. The NFL Network is being totally assinine and ridiculous about it too. They want $2.00 per subscriber regardless of whether people want the channel or not. That's absolutely crazy. A normal expanded basic cable subscription is like only $30-40 and it's usually for around 60 or 70 channels. Adding $2.00 for NFL Network is not really an option for cable companies. It's basically extortion on the part of the NFL, IMO.

Don't blame the NFL Network, blame your cable company. I do feel for you, hope the issue gets resolved.

Does anyone know approximately how much bandwidth a game takes up over sopcast or TVU? I have a bandwidth limit in the dorms.

the offer is still open. I'm on the FL Panhandle and cordially invite you to enjoy the game in HD on the 60" courtesy of DirecTV. You just have to get here and back. :p:

I can blame the NFL if I want to. It wasn't my cable company's decision to try to force everyone to carry NFL Network.

By the way, I have been looking for days for a place to give the NFL Network feedback. They have all kinds of ways for us to complain to cable companies (through the NFL Network site) but no way to get an email to them. Does anyone know where I can find a contact for NFL Network, or are they hiding?
