yes but this isnt a basic cable channelOzzu;1235288 said:Just like every other cable channel on basic cable. You pay for all that even if you don't watch it. It's not the NFL Network you should be complaining about, but the system that the cable companies use.

well i certainly do agree that its a very screwed up systemOzzu;1235300 said:I understand that, but that's what the NFL wants. They want it to be included in every package just like ESPN. ESPN is included is basically every single package you can possibly get from any provider yet I'm sure there are quite a few subscribers who don't watch it. Those subscribers pay for it regardless. The system is screwed up. The NFL is just trying to be included in the screwed up system.

Daudr;1235201 said:NFL is going to get themselves into huge trouble. Congress is actually contemplating removing their monopoly exhemption status because of this. The NFL Network is being totally assinine and ridiculous about it too. They want $2.00 per subscriber regardless of whether people want the channel or not. That's absolutely crazy. A normal expanded basic cable subscription is like only $30-40 and it's usually for around 60 or 70 channels. Adding $2.00 for NFL Network is not really an option for cable companies. It's basically extortion on the part of the NFL, IMO.
Iago33;1235302 said:Who minds them wanting to be included? It's the way they are going about it that's wrong and borders on extortion.

Like I said, not to prop DTV or anything but I will be enjoying the game in HD tonight while some cable companies squabble over fine details at the expense of their Cowboys loving subscribers.
As I previously stated, I find it incredibly interesting that some cable companies are fully on board with no issues while others are squabbling over minute details.
Bravo to those cable companies that see their subscribers as more important than a petty argument.
