DeMarco Murray sitting No. 4 on the Eagles' depth chart looks absolutely grim. But how bad is it, really, for the Eagles if they end up turning it around anyway?

On GameDay First on Sunday, NFL Media's Shaun O'Hara had something interesting to say about Kelly's signing of Murray, who is active for Sunday's game against the Bills.

"Everybody in the NFC East should be thanking Chip for taking him out of Dallas."

Probably right. I thought we'd be ok without him and I worried about the drop off in production after that many carries. I also thought we'd draft a back. Oh well.

I've thought since the beginning that Kelly signed Murray to take him away from Dallas, but if Kelly knew that Murray was a bad fit for his offense and intended for Mathews to be his bell cow the whole time, Chip's a bigger idiot than I thought he was. That 40 mill could have been Jeremy Maclin. Heck, it could have been a multi-year Pro Bowl RB that he knew fit his offense perfectly. LeSean McCoy made that offense go for two years, and along with the novelty of the up-tempo gimmick, was largely responsible for Chip's 20-12 career start.

Nah. I don't buy it. Kind of a dumb idea if you really think about it, giving away Pro Bowl players so you can pay a guy $40-mil to sit the bench.

You can't lose your 3 best players on offense for a long portion of the season and be okay.

I thought McFadden mixed in with Randle and Dunbar would be better than Murray, and part of me still does, but it has also become evident that McFadden just doesn't work in a zone system. Never did before, and still doesn't.

Yeah another viewpoint that substantiates my stance. Shaun's right you know...... But many of my fellow Cowboy fans are too buried in their post partum hatred of Demarco to realize that truth.

Last year was a fluke year..................? I really thought we had turned the corner as a franchise last year. Now I think, that is under serious question. Because what I have seen this year leads me to believe that, last year was a fluke. A series of really lucky breaks that lead to some momentum. I believe with Romo this year, we still aren't that strong of a team. 10-6, and thats With Romo. Without him we are a 5 win team. I believe losing DM and inexplicably replacing him with DMC and Randle was irresponsible. Couple that decision with the decision to keep Brandon Weeden as backup was horrendous.

But more then all that. Its the culture that has failed. I look around the league and see how many teams go on and win when their QB goes down. We couldn't. Because without Romo we dont have ..................anything. That is our culture. That has been our culture for a long long time now. I thought that had changed.

One more year for Garrett. I think that will be it for him. If we dont make a push into the playoffs next year, JG must be replaced. A GM must be named. One that isn't part of the Jones Family. I am pretty sure that wont happen, but myself as a fan, will see it as an insult. As disrespectful, to the Dallas Cowboys fans. I am sure the money will roll in, whatever happens.
