How about you write an accurate thread title rather than opting for sensationalism? Do you know the difference between cancel and suspend? The physicals have been suspended not canceled. There is a huge difference. They can still be done by private physician. And thank you for including the inacurate ESPN article. To be clear, clubs may arrange for a free agent or traded player to have medical exams conducted in the player’s home city or at another nearby location by a third-party doctor.

Yup, this could be the straw that halts the draft, the season - for awhile, who the hell knows. But this makes everything moving forward that much more difficult.

I think the season will be delayed or cancelled.

It will be a while before really large groups (think thousands) will be allowed to gather in a single place like a stadium because there will be secondary and tertiary waves that follow once the initial wave dies down and folks in charge will not want to see these 2nd and 3rd waves have a chance to repeat what we're going through now.

Like any other media outlet nowdays, ESPN will promote and publicize whatever gets the best rating$. Their obvious priorities kinda makes their credibility vanish.

It did say the NFL gave permission for teams to use independent doctors. Maybe Jerry will pay for the independent physicals to get any free agents we want while everybody else is waiting.

I cannot believe this is anything more than a PR posture for the illness problems out there.

That is probably why the Poe signing is delayed, probably going to put a halt to all free agency now.
