He had Dak 6th after week 13 FWIW.

Like a lot of people he is painting this grade based on a road game in SF, while ignoring that he posted an all-time great

When he's on, Prescott resembles top-five material. His off days, though, leave you wondering if this Cowboys team will ever handle its business against the NFC's finest.
The key to this thread is this summation. No one knows what you will get from week to week other than there is an almost certainty it won't be good if the competition can put the game in his hands.

NO ONE, not even the most vocal defenders would gamble anything significant on Dak being able to win against a quality opponent. The offers were made to show proof of a wager and no one stepped up. So, let's stop pretending that there is any real belief. Folks may like the guy. Feel he gets too much criticism. May really, really want him to do well. BUT no one really believes he will over come the flaws in his game. That's just the truth about where we are at concerning his career. We all agree he can "look" better at times but there is no longer any hope he can elevate the team around him when it matters most.

Think dak was easily better than Brady. If they're going to focus on his last game, then why not the same for Brady. Just 1 week before daks stinker didn't Brady throw out a stinker? Anything to keep dak out of the top 10, like espn leaving Dallas out of the top 5 but 1 when they had the niners who the list creators even said they shouldn't have been in there because of qb questions. They still put them there to keep Dallas out of the top 5. Herman's rant.

While I agree that Allen is at the point where we need to see him take that next step to be more consistent with his decision making, I don't think we can say he hasn't done it. Last years playoffs he was almost perfect. He faced huge pressure & delivered over & over. Unfortunately, he just happened to be playing against a team that had the best player on the planet, as good a TE as we have ever seen and maybe the fastest WR (that could actually play) the game has ever seen.
Lot of dudes would have had rings if not for guys named Jordan & Pippen.
I guess the only team that moral victories don't count is reserved for Dallas.

So when they beat Philly and their #2 Def wasn't a quality win. Got it chief. When they destroyed a qb they couldn't beat wasn't a good victory. Got it

Those ignorant fools defending him will use the rest of the team and coaching as his excuse. We have seen it time and time again. Everyone else gets blamed but Dak.
You nailed it when it matters most he doesn't show up. Who cares about hanging 50 points on a bad division rival or bad Bears team when you only manage to lead your team to 12 points in a playoff game.

Well when teaching the ignorant fools a lesson remeber to use facts like Didnt win the last game or hasn't taken us to the NFCCG or something like that. He has in fact lead his team to more than 12 points in a playoff game, like the week before that game in the playoffs. But dont let me stop you from calling out the ignorant fools here that dont share your opinion.

No lesson to be taught here. Everything played out like it has in the past. They are getting what they deserve already suffering through the loss.

You know Hurts didn't play and we still only won by like 6 right? Also, didn't they have some other folks out?

And weren't they kinda coasting trying to get healthy for the playoff run?

Brady? Would I have been surprised if he had pulled his last magic trick by beating us? No.

But otherwise they weren't a good team.

ie, neither of these was a high level opponent at the time you faced them.

Lamar, Rodgers, and Jones are all better than Dak. He should be much closer to 15.

They thing I find strange is how they would put Dak at 11 and Cousins at 17,, they are the same player. They really are statistically the same. With that said, I think Dak is 3 places too high and Cousins a couple of places too low.

First I'd put Rodgers and Jackson above Dak and flip a coin between Jones and Dak.

Then next season you would think that Stafford comes back into contention.. Broncos will hope Wilson turns it around, you would expect Watson to get better after a woeful start in Cleveland. You would hope one of Purdy or Lance gets it together and becomes the full time starter injury free.

So, as always, Dak is going to come in at 'slightly above average' or around that 12-15th best QB mark. What I find funny in a sad, depressing way.. is that Dak has always been at that level. The stupidity of those who used puffed up stats collected against weak divisional rivals to absurdly put Dak in the top 8 (he has never been ranked higher at the end of the year than 8) was always laughable.

And as many point out.. we are in a better spot than 16-18 other teams who, without a doubt, have worse options at QB.

The bigger problem is not just the level of Daks play.. it is the monster salary he is getting paid to be a mediocre QB and the sheer arrogance of many to believe that he is 'elite' and can get the job done. History suggests that whilst there may be the occasional anomaly of a Foles.. most years the winning team has an exceptional QB. It is the most important position on the field and if you want a shot at the title.. then the best way is to have one of the guys in the top 4. Dak is nowhere near that.. and never has been. And that is why he sucks.

Can you read the other two sentences that address the rest of the team?

Also, he sorta does. By keeping the ball away from you and by building a lead which makes it easier for them to predict your moves.
