So, as always, Dak is going to come in at 'slightly above average' or around that 12-15th best QB mark. What I find funny in a sad, depressing way.. is that Dak has always been at that level. The stupidity of those who used puffed up stats collected against weak divisional rivals to absurdly put Dak in the top 8
Indeed. We were very fortunate to have a terrible division his entire career up until this year. We also got to play some other weak teams each year or face solid teams when they had issues. Unusually long run of favorable matchups. Just fueled the fire for the propaganda machine.

Can you read the other two sentences that address the rest of the team?

Also, he sorta does. By keeping the ball away from you and by building a lead which makes it easier for them to predict your moves.
We as Cowboy fans don’t know what its like to have a QB who keeps it away from the other team …. so really shouldn’t be throwing stones there

Tom Brady retired, Buttercup.

Top 10 entering 2023.

NFL players, coaches, scouts and execs will confirm that. Again.

To prove you know NOTHING about this sport. Again.

I know it hurts.

So they have him ranked 11th after arguably his worst regular season ever? Yep…..he’s a top 10 QB. No question.
....and even if true that means nothing seeing as how he has yet to elevate the team on his shoulders when needed the most but then again with such poor footwork and weak legs that isn't a surprise.

Rankings, please.

the only ranking I care about is against good defenses he sucks, and bad defenses he looks good.

put any college quarterback behind a good offensive line and you'll get the same results, or Cooper Rush for that matter.

Unfortunately neither one's going to win you a championship game.

It's comforting for Jerry to know some of you think like him.

Saying "INT Machine".. "Cant score" is just not true... saying "Blew it this year in a big moment" completley true..Why cant we just stick to the facts. Dak could have an INT problem if he continues the same play this year from last year but before that he was widley known as a top tier QB at taking care of the football.... he has in fact played below his set standard in the last 2 playoff games against SF which could be a trend for sure...again nothing wrong with facts.

Like with Tampa?

The question is... is this all there is? Is Dak gonna make a jump to one of the best against these competitiors. Dallas doesn't win a championship without a great quarterback and don't we all think he's probably peaked by now.? He keeps throwing behind his receivers and if it wasn't for some heroic catches he'd probably have even more interceptions. I think his award for community service is probably the only national award he is going to get in his career. Close but no cigar.

  • #22 Matthew Stafford
  • #30 Russell Wilson
  • #51 Joe Flacco
  • #57 Nick Foles
have won the Super Bowl and are ranked below Dak. Only Aaron Rodgers and maybe Russell Wilson on that list would have been classified as "elite" at any point in their careers. You don't have to have an "elite" quarterback to win the Super Bowl, as the list above shows. It sure doesn't hurt, but winning a championship takes a quarterback and team that can play at a consistently high level for a few games in the postseason.

The Jets had Carr in for a visit which says that team wasted a high pick on Wilson . SF took a QB high pick in Lance. Dak in 7 yrs has performed like a 4th round pick . Not bad . Come playoff time something goes wrong .

Not sure if serious?

Rodgers clearly a better QB than Dak.. suffers from a lack of talent around him and is not pushing 40. I personally still would have had Rodgers ahead of Dak.. Rodgers with our rushing attack, CeeDee and our Oline? Would have been much much better than Dak.

Stafford is actually a very good quarterback. Chronically underrated by some who don't watch enough of 'other teams' games. Stafford was an elite QB stuck on a poor roster.. he kept the lions relevant because he was elite.. a classic example of an elite guy that might not have won anything but not through lack of talent. It was not a surprise to me, nor many I suspect, that as soon as he was given a squad.. he won a ring that same year. Would note that he was injured this season which would effect his ranking. If he is healthy.. he is clearly.. like MILES ahead of Dak.

Wilson is a better QB than Dak but he had a really bad season.. historically bad. Had no chemistry with his new team, with the playbook and basically was a mess. I'll wait to see how he goes under Sean before I write him off completely.. as even you stated.. he was considered Elite at the he was winning.

Flacco.. see Stafford. Chronically underrated by some.. Flacco kept the Ravens relevant every single season he was there. Had a rocket arm and very accurate. Suffered from a lack of options and a team focussed on defence first. Often had the most sacks and I think had the shortest "clean pocket" rating for at least two years that I remember. Will be a HOF QB.. without question. At the time he won the ring.. he would have been considered a top four QB.

Foles - Yep.. he is the anomoly for sure.

So, as I said earlier.. Foles is the ONLY QB in recent history that has won a ring without being considered 'elite'. You need an elite QB.. or a very very very very very good QB that plays lights out for one magical season. We have pinned our hopes on Dak having 'one good season' in him. The reality is that his best season remains his rookie season. That is the only relevant fact here. Dak will never win a ring. He just does not have it and now history is against him.

The sooner we move on.. the sooner we have a chance.

I still believe/hope this last year was an aberration for Dak. But this guys breakdown was more than fair bases only on last season.

Funny how you and other Dakfanatics always point to TB while ignoring Washington and SF.....and pointing to TB against a 45-year-old QB on a one-dimensional offense on a team that limped into the playoffs at 8-9.....but yeah, keep pointing to one game.
I ignore nothing. Just pointing out a huge game he played incredible and made a liar out of you again.

Hence the argument for not paying someone like Dak the money he is making (or many other QB's for that matter) who are not considered 'elite'.

Made a liar out of me???? LOL Dak led the league in INT's in spite of missing 5 games and yet again cost Dallas the game against SF in the playoffs so you keep living in a delusional world wherein you celebrate Dak as the 10th-ranked QB and accept mediocrity from him.
