I'm a fan of All-Pro selections except for when it comes to QBs.

I get the format, but limiting to just 1 slot for both first and second team seems disproportionate for some reason.

How so? Only 1 QB is on the field for a team in a game, whereas you have 2 tackles, 2 guards, etc. and they're voted on as such, are they not?

I get the aim of the format, but it doesn't actually work out that way.

With your example, Guard, it's not like they say "well we picked Martin who is an RG, so now we need an LG". They just take the best guards. Same with receivers.

And running backs? There's usually a pair of backs which doesn't really happen in practice. Hell in 2023, there were 4: 1st team running backs.

No for offensive line they actually differentiate right and left side. This was last years AP team for example

LT: Trent Williams (1st) and Tyron Smith (2nd)
LG: Joe Thuney (1st) and Tyler Smith (2nd)
RG: Zack Martin (1st) and Chris Lidstrom (2nd)
RT: Penei Sewell (1st) and Lane Johnson (2nd)

you're right, my bad

also, looks like I was mixing up All-Pro lists.

I guess it's all fair, lol

Dak is not a Top 4 QB.

There isn't a GM in football that would agree.
I don't think GM's in this league would even agree on who's top 4. My top 4 would be Mahomes, Allen, Lamar and Dak. Some would probably put Goff in there. Some would probably put Burrow. Some would put Stroud. That's why these "top 4" lists are useless. The only consistent name in there would be Mahomes lol.

That was David Carr, and that was from 10 years ago.

Dak more recently beat Herbert in a similar throwing contest. He takes 1 win, takes 1 loss. If he plays Carr again now, he probably spanks him.
FA La La….probably does this or that. Dak is a freakin joke! The sooner he’s gone the better. Mark this reply….this is the year it unravels. He’s done wearing the star.

Well how bad is Jim Kelly and Dan Marino?? Eli Manning took his team to 2 superbowl victories and Trent Dilpher took his team to a Superbowl victory.

So according to what you're saying, E. Manning and Dilpher were better quarterbacks than Kelly and Marino, correct?
We dont see eye to eye often...but yer not wrong here!

Both Kelly and Marino played in SBs, Dak can't even get close. Your analogy is flawed.

Yet you still didn't answer the question. Stay focused. Your dodging the original question says it all. YOU are flawed.

The question was.... If Manning and Dilpher lead their teams to Superbowl victories and Kelly and Marino failed to do so.... according to the guidelines previously used, clearly Dilpher and E. Manning are better than Marino and Kelly, correct???

Can you just answer this simple question or will you rely on another deflection tactic .... ball is in your court.

Jim Kelly had the absolute worst luck of any HOF QB I can think of
Loses one SB because the kicker blows a chip shot
then gets worked by the next three even though he had arguably a great team

All QBs you listed are much better than Dak.

Also, "Dilpher" lolololololol

And I have to respect your opinion.... but Kelly and Marino failed to win Superbowls, so according to your logic, Dilpher and E. Manning won Superbowls so that mean they are better quarterbacks than Kelly and Marino, correct?

Dak is not a Top 4 QB.

There isn't a GM in football that would agree.
No way you can possess that information unless you had lunch with them. The general GM opinion can't differ much from the media - who most recently had him in the Top 5:
