Listening to NFL radio this morning, Ross Tucker ranks Dallas #3 behind Miami and Cleveland as most dysfunctional organization in the NFL. Agree or disagree?

I don't agree. Folks pile on Dallas because they have a history of winning Championships or competing for Championships. That hasn't occurred in the last 17 years, but we are far from the Raiders, Commanders, Jags, Lions or the world. We don't have a constant barage of players getting in trouble with the law or being suspended for PED's. We are a .500 team on the field. If the sole requirement is not winning a championship, then after this year, there are 15 teams ahead of us that finished worse than we did last year.

Dallas draws ratings so folks talk. It's the off-season, what else would they talk about.

Taking Jerry out of the equation, I'd be curious to know what makes them dysfunctional. That can't be the only reason. 90s Cowboys off-field stuff would warrant that ranking.

The current incarnation of the Cowboys are actually quite boring.

What resources?? We have the same draft privileges as everyone else? We might not be able to go after as many FAs as some but FA hasn't proven to be fertile ground for acquiring talent speaking in general.

If you want to say we should have made it to a CC game or SB over that span then I'd agree. But we fight the same odds as the rest of the NFL. If you say we haven't acquired talent thru the draft as well as some then I'd agree.

Ok, gotcha. That's not dysfunctional. Unusual, but also likely to happen when you have a coach trying to save his job.

And he also must've forgotten about Tampa Bay w/Greg Schiano. Or even the Skins. I'd even throw the Jets in the ring, as well.

But hey, it's not my list.

I agree.

The Cowboys have no identity nor do they have a identifiable organizational philosophy. Jerry changes his vision of the Cowboys more often (I hope) than he changes his underwear. He seems to latch on to the latest fads or ideas each season and makes it difficult for his scouts to produce the ideal candidate/personnel to succeed in the Cowboys system. The only thing that can help the Cowboys now is continuity as bad as that may sound.

Sorry, I meant to include those. It was how they are handling the recent coaching staff hires (offense and defensive coordinators) and salary cap management.

Looking at Dallas' history after the last Super Bowl justifies the statement. Parcells was the only bright spot. Just think of Dallas win/loss stats if he didn't coach the team.
