While I seriously doubt any of them care about the outcome of the games, I do believe they do a bad job as a whole. Why not get a younger group of refs out there, so many of these guys are 50ish, how about 30ish?

Saw a call vs the Bears that was so wrong it was comical, the TV guys talked about it, HC Nagy almost unloaded on a ref, very bad call.

Something has to be done about holding. I have seen holding calls where the ball carrier is far beyond the point where the called holding happened, it had nothing at all to do with anything. This has to stop.

So many times some kick returner get a good return......FLAG...yep, holding. Forget holding on special teams, go ahead and hold.....really, hell throw a guy down. Hell, wrestle.

Anyone thinking NFL refs care about outcomes of games is wrong, they don't. Do they suck making calls, absolutely!

NFL officials? They suck at their job. I realize it’s a tough job, but they’re so inconsistent it’s pathetic. They don’t even know the rules part of the time. Officials often makes calls based on what they think happened and not actually what they saw happen. It happens in college basketball all the time too. The roughing call against us on Thanksgiving is a perfect example. Carr fell into one of our players and hit his head on a leg. He got up rubbing his neck. Flag. It was beyond laughable.

They might talk but it's not about how to swing any game towards one team. All these guys are strong character individuals, ya have to be become an NFL ref, they don't care about who wins, only some rookie would see it any other way.

2nd the NFL is classified as entertainment not sport (So you cant sue them . . . its the same as a movie, music concert, soap opera or WWE)
3rd. NHL, MLB. MLS & the NBA are all sport
4th Referees, Kickers and High Paid QB's are all in on it . . . which is why you see more kickers missing, stupid referee calls and lousy QB play more then ever . because of online gambling

The issue is they keep adding so many subjective rules. Then you add the focus on player safety—supposedly. So, now they’re making calls based on what they think might have happened instead of what they saw. In other words the refs don’t even trust themselves. And, since there’s absolutely no accountability, they never get better.
