NFL Replay: Cowboys vs. Redskirts

you asked what being an insignificant team meant, and I told you

don't get mad because the answer doesn't suit you
Hey dude, I'm not getting mad at the answer, but rather expressing my increduality that it would even matter to you or that you expect me to be like, oh man, you're right! Guess there's no hope. Here's to 2032, maybe we can field a "significant" team then!

Weren't the media all idiots last year when they weren't picking you guys for the Super Bowl? Now all of a sudden, their not because they are picking the Cowboys? Same media, same idiots, yet I haven't heard the same level of disgust for them now they are on the bandwagon...

I don't know, and don't care.

Yes, after the 1969 season. Not in those exact words.

I never said we were a play away. I said we played without heart.

I don't think he's saying that at all. What he said was stupid, but he didn't say that.
I never said you said that you were an unlucky play away. I said that's the prevailing attitude I'm seeing from the organization.

And what did Phillips say anyways?

you're only an idiot when you make idiotic assumptions

predicting a team to reach the Super Bowl, and they only finish 13-3 w/ HFA, even if they lost that divisional playoff game, isn't idiotic

so no, because they got it wrong doesn't make them idiots, and besides, the media already is filled w/ a bunch of idiots, so how more idiotic could they get?

13-3 over and over and over. Also that the best team did not win. I don't respect that. Acknowledge when you got outcoached and outplayed and we did.

Let me ask you this question. Does it matter to you what the media thinks? Why? Would it matter to you if they were predicting a mediocre season for you guys?

Doesn't this fit in with my idea that your team might have an entitlement issue then? If the head coach thinks, and says, this, wouldn't that filter down to the players (damnit, we're the Cowboys and we'll win because we are just better than they are)?

no, it doesn't matter what the media thinks

significant and insignificant do rely on perception though to determine which is which

Significant and insignificant isn't determined by perception, but ability. Sure, we may THINK something is insignificant until it turns around and whips our butts and then all of a sudden, we realize that maybe we were wrong and it was significant. So fine, think the Skins are insignificant.

No, because I said I haven't seen a team believe it 2 years in a row and gave you examples. Did we last year? Yes. Does that mean every year? No.

Comprende?

Don't forget "elite eight." That consolation prize kept me warm through the cold winter months.

I wonder if Titans fans talk trash to Colts fans about their week 17 win over a team that had already locked up the playoffs and was obviously conserving players for the postseason...

Or Falcons fans to Seahawks fans.

Or Texans fans to Jax fans.

No, I don't have to look it up. I already know that only Skins fans are that stupid.

It's just find it funny and ironic how you all use excuses as the reason why you all lost week 17, but when bring up the fact that Sean Taylor wasn't playing in the previous meeting as a reason for T.O.'s 4 td's, it is suddenly irrelevant.

None the less, it is a stupid argument, and to bring up the last years failures are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that we both lost our first playoff game, and were knocked out... Now onto this year.

I find it equally funny and ironic that yet another Commanders fan jions the fray and is completely missing the point.

You're right, he probably would have had only three touchdowns...Witten, ironically, would have had two though.

I agree. Only myself, and the rest of the country could care less what a "Commanders new year" consists of. :D

True. We have a pretty centralized fanbase in D.C. Unlike the cowboys who have a large contingent of bandwagoners across the country ;)

Touche'!

Although many of those "bandwagoners" have apparently decided to stick around since the early '90's. ;)

is it written in stone somewhere or a rule that you have to root for the local team?

I met more Skins fans in AZ than I met Cowboys fans... Just thought I would mention that...
