I've got about 35yrs in myself....

I'll be 46 this October and I've been a Cowboy fan as far back as I can remember. I'd guess around 38 years or so.

Indy came from a 2006 Super Bowl win and the Chargers have posted many double digit win records in the past couple of years and played NE very close in the AFCCG. Dallas posted precisely one good season in the past couple of years and lost in the divisionals. There is a perfectly legit reason to question your team and it's just that the media drives the bandwagons and jumps on just about any reason to pimp a "hot" team.

Ah. A post full of nothing but bull****.

They have absolutely NO ANSWER for TO. Last year or this year, they just have no answer. NONE!!!!!
Seems like putting Laron Landry at FS and in coverage instead of Reed Doughty might help a bit, ya think???

Do skin fans honestly believe the skins were so good that game that the they held the boys to -2 yards and the boys where playing as tuff as they could and not just going threw the motions?
Do Cowboy fans acknowledge that resting their starters and "going through the motions" is probably a bad idea considering they have problems winning past December?

The Foreskins are in absolute trouble this year. They have no answer for TO and their glue, which was GW and Gibbs is gone. GW did wonders with their shorthanded suspect defense. He will be misssed big time. JZ has ZERO experience as HC or OC and he has to do both this year. The bum he hired to be his OC has never been a OC in the league before either, just like JZ. Actually, JZ admitted a few weeks ago on WTEM on the John Thompson Show that his OC didn't even know the offense yet. Infact, they don't even have playbooks yet and its damn near June, thats unbelievable. They are in big trouble!!!!

I think the Skins can be good on defense; not real good. Just good. But I agree that without GW that defense is going to drop off and likely a fair amount. I wouldn't write the Skins off but I think they will have a hard time breaking even this year; esp in the East.

I dont think they went through the motions. I think what changed that day was the weather.

I think the team had full intent on going up there and playing there hearts out to win, but when they went out for warmups that afternoon it was a sloppy mess. they still played tough considering. I just dont think that after losing pat watkins, terence newman, andre gurode, terrell owens, chris canty and and having columbo get his knee banged up that the guys were going all out. All those injuries were from the previous two games and fresh in there minds.

I remember laufenberg saying during the pregame show that the guys came out of the locker room and went on the field and just went right back into the locker room. they wanted to get on the plane right then and there is what he said.

i happen to believe that is what happened. The secondary was pretty banged up and they still put a good effort forward. Laufenberg broke that game down from the game film and showed numerous times where guys were wide open. Hurd and austin were open a number of times and they either didnt get it thrown there way or dropped balls, a couple would have been scores.

They left romo and witten in to start the third qtr so they could get their team records then took them out.

I dont put any stock into that game meaning anything. I dont involve it in any december "swoon" either. We beat detroit in their building, we physically punished the eagles but didnt score any points and had owens stayed in the game at carolina that would have been the same type of beating that the rams and bears received earlier in the year. Our offensive numbers were off the charts in the first half.

I know Commanders fans will never admit to any of that, but if you follow football closely its all easy to decipher.

but hey we suck and havent won a playoff game in 12 years right.

38 years for me. Through thick and thin, good or bad. That'll never change.

Dangit man, 44 years for me. Yes I've been thick and thin, good or bad. Here lately I'm thin and good. which is good considering I am celebrating my tenth anniversary of 39. And yes I've been following the Cowboys since I was five. My Granpa woulda beat me about my head and shoulders ,with my G.I. Joe if I even thought about doing anything other than sitting in his recliner with him on game day.My Grandpa wore a fedora hat all my life ,even while working outside with his overalls. I have a couple of hats in my office, along with his Zippo lighter and a pack of Lucky Strikes .They go well with all my Cowboy treasures. I've found that a fedora hat looks stunning on naked women and I am sure Grandpa is somewhere smiling, tipping his hat and lighting up a Lucky Strike every time it happens. That is untill my 4' 9" Granma gives him that look. He was 6' 4" and scared of her. I'll shut up now, it's Starbuck's fault.

How would I rate the significance of 2008 for the Cowboys and the Skins? Well, given it hasn't started, it would be hard to ascertain. It would vary depending on the situations. I'm not sure what you are going for here...

As far as significance, obviously it was more significant for the Commanders than the Cowboys. Nobody is arguing that. It doesn't excuse the loss and lack of heart though and even if you had all your starters in, we were playing better football for the 3 games prior.

what teams did you beat 3 games prior?

32 years of bandwagon riding for me and I'm not from Texas! I've been to many games and spent lots of $$$$ on Cowboy merchandise.

No one can argue with my fandom!

nope.it's a '00 A4 2.8 quattro. I'm thinking about trading it in for an '01 S4 or TT.
