The defense played lights out that game, they also played unreal at home vs the gmen. Those two games give me incredible hope for this defense this upcoming season.

That bonehead play by rock cartwright trying to down the punt on the 1 was a total game changer.

Zach Thomas was incredibly bad. I never noticed it during the year but the more I watched these games over again, he was bad.

I don't see any way Brookings can be worse.

I would like to see our 3rd down defense go from good to great. Nothing pisses me off more than a conversion on 3rd down, not to mention the ones that are 3rd and long...grrrr

just as I say that we committ a penalty on a 3rd down conversion...that is even more agitating.

That's exactly what i was thinking. I didn't pay attention to him during the season but I've been focusing on him when watching the replay games and he just looked lost.

On the 4th down play in the first half he ran right past the hole. He was able to turn back and make the tackle but Portis had already gained the 1st down.
