Here's an idea...

Let's sign a TE that can handle kick-off duties as well!

Now here is value for Greg Ellis.

Williams may be a headcase now, but Coach Parcells did appear to be interested in him last April.

I would make that trade.

It makes sense, really. They could use him at end. They have James Hall and Kalimba Edwards at RE, but Cory Redding is very average at LE.

Williams may have problems, but listening to how Mariucci ran a loose ship and how Marinelli is running a Les Steckel-like boot camp, it might just be a case where a change of scenery is about all that can salvage his career.

Just a year ago, most people were drooling over his potential. I say why not swap your disgruntled drama queen for potential.

but isn't BP running a boot camp of his own? Mike W maybe a player that has to look within himself in order to change 1st before anything else

I don't think Coach Parcells runs a grueling camp like what Steckel did and what Marinelli is supposedly doing. He also has the unique ability to know which buttons to push with players. I think Williams would be more than worth the risk. If Detroit is truly willing to even consider the thought of cutting him (but the cap hit is enormous), we would be very foolish not to entertain the idea of trading for him. I think it is speculation because of how much it would cost to just cut bait, but you never know.

Jets coach Eric Mangini has turned the trainer's room from country club to sterile hospital quarters, thus dissuading players from using it like a spa. Gone is any carpeting that adorned the room, along with any comfort areas to hang out in and the music the players liked to listen to while soaking themselves. One team insider quipped that Mangini was considering piping in some of the worst music he could think of. Mangini also has employed several more stationary bikes to be used on the practice field when a player tells a trainer he's not feeling great. That player, instead of being allowed a loaf on the sideline and rest, is sent to the cycle to keep working out. Those are just a couple of no-nonsense disciplinary type changes that have been made on the surface.
and the Parcell's tree lives on...

all true, but I think BMW needs to do some soul-searching just the same

Next thing you will hear about Mangini taking their dominoes away as well.

He is still very much a child. I think he is still only 20 or 21 and was just a baby when he listened to stupid advice and tried to go along with Clarett. He has the upside, no doubt.

I agree. I wanted no part of him at #10 but for what amounts to a 3rd round value? Process the forms. If nothing else you get a guy you could use as an H back on passing downs and he's a very interesting red zone option. And don't laugh but even beyond Parcells influence if this guy gets a load of what TO does to get himself ready to play and any of that work ethic rubs off then you might really have something.

Alright, that's it. Enough dreaming. I don't like getting excited about something that makes so much sense, because all too often, it never comes to pass.

BP's is obsessed with white males that are 6-4 to 6-5 and weigh 250+. Only TE's, LB's and LS's need to apply. looking for a serious relationship.

MW is still pouting about missing 1 year of football/Money and maybe the #1 overall pick... until he gets over that I see him as a problem!!!

the Lions should release him but I think the Cowboys think they are set... Mike Williams as a Keyshawn type WR would be perfect for this team!!! I think he takes Coppers spot... can we get someone off the D to handle Gunner duties?
