via Pat Kirwan who was at the owner's meetings.

  • Expect a lot of trades.
QB

  • A lot of teams feel like Davis Webb in the 2nd round isn't a huge drop from Watson or Trubisky in round 1

  • Kizer could be dropping the most
RB

  • they didn't cover anything other than Fournette has teams interested in round 1.
WR

  • If your team have O-line issues and WR issues expect your team to go OL.
OL

  • O line (Lamp, Robinson, Ramczyk ) will be gone by pick 15 as needs across the league are high for finding starting O-line.

  • Several teams have 1st round grades on Dion Dawkins & don't mind the age with Garrett Bolles
DB

  • There's going to be a run on CBs at the end of the first. Owners / Head Coaches love the CBs in this draft like they loved WRs in 2014 draft. There could be a bunch of teams trying to trade back into the 1st for these corners

  • Josh Jones , NC State , is gaining a ton of steam

  • Chidobe Awuzie has a 1st round grade by many teams

  • Ahkello Witherspoon has 1st round grades from several teams

  • Kevin King will likely be the 2nd CB drafted (could go top 10)
DL

  • Caleb Brantley is a player that a ton of teams want at the top of the 2nd so he could be a player that gets the 30th, 31st pick on Day 1

  • Chris Wormley could be a 1st round prospect. Teams really know what they are getting with him even if he's never a starter he's a rotation guy that will give you a great bang for your buck.

  • OLB Takkarist McKinley is dropping / DE/OLB Charles Harris is rising
    ----------
Kevin King is a surprise to me.Dawkins had a great senior bowl and would make a great guard.

OLB Takkarist McKinley is dropping
Broaddus has been saying they really like him. Tho OL rush will push good defenders down. Many teams wanting to trade into the bottom of round one will come in handy.

yes.I can read the Tea leaves now, they are looking at 4 guys in Takk,Harris,Watt and Basham at 28.I think they like Takk the most but i lean towards Harris and Watt.

I like Basham. I believe he has more long term potential as a pass rushing 4-3 DL than the other DEs slotted to be available at 28. I had no idea a few weeks ago we'd have to use the 28th pick to get him, which apparently is the case now.

This could also be Owner speak for "we want to trade down and make other teams think it's competitive"

This draft is deep, I don't think many teams are that concerned with trading up into the first.

I could be wrong...but how often do teams trade into the first round and land in front of 27? Probably not often..usually trading up to 28-32 range..so that doesn't help us

If 5 offensive linemen go top 27, that would be outstanding for us. And if there's just one of the top guys left, trade down could be above market value.

Called it on Awuzie back in December.

Did not call it on Kevin King though. Surprised. Looked awkward to me and more like a guy who'd take some time.

I've got him going to us in the 2nd...There is going to be a rush to get the Quality O-linemen...QBs...and CBs...and the elite RBs & WRs. I'd be shocked to see him off the board before 60.;) Nice player though...

Yup...don't get the Kevin King love. Guy is a twig....slow twitch. Doesn't want to tackle. Poor technique/backpedal. He would be a horrible pick for us if we took him @ 1/28.

Have to agree although McKinley according to doctors will not be ready to practice until at the earliest late training camp and not be ready for the field until late September to late October. If true then sort of goes against not red shirt anyone since would only have him at most half a season. They really like Moreau also at CB but again will be mid training camp before he can practice.

For me I would take them only if I had extra picks late second or early third. And pray a lot.

Believe Basham will be there in the third, several items going to push him down from small school to poor competition to learning curve. Could go late second but would be surprised if earlier. Now Watt is going to be an interesting case. If teams believe he will be a 3-4 OLB then he goes 1st round, if DE then could get him in early second.

Have to think depending on what a team is willing to pay to move up then Dallas will trade down. Believe they will rate only 15 guys as true 1st round guys but probably have 40+ guys as 2nd round grades and all close to the same number. Actually depending on how the draft goes, a could see Dallas doing a trade down to acquire additional picks and then in the 3rd round trading next years 2nd for a couple of late thirds. Just wouldn't surprise me this year especially with the probability of getting 4 comp picks next year.
