NFL schedule coming out Tuesday

Todd Archer E-mail News tips

Just received an e-mail from the folks at NFL Network pumping up their coverage of the upcoming schedule release on Tuesday. The scheduled will be announced at 6 p.m. Central

We've been reporting the Cowboys will open up on the road, likely at Denver, and host an NFC East team on NBC on Sept. 20. Jerry Jones said the first two games at his stadium will be primetime affairs, so ESPN will get a crack at a game for "Monday Night Football," and you'd have to think NFL Network will get a Cowboy game from Arlington as well.

In addition to their NFC East rivals in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, the Cowboys will play Atlanta, Carolina, Oakland (on Thanksgiving), San Diego and Seattle at home with trips to Denver, Green Bay, Kansas City, New Orleans and Tampa Bay.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the big games leak out between now and then (even beyond what we've already seen), and there ain't nothing bigger than the Cowboys home opener..!!

My "road game I might make if it is scheduled ideally for me" is Tampa Bay. Late December or early January in Florida would do quite nicely :D

I'm hoping its week 3. I might be setting up a Tampa game for my buddy's bachelor party, and it would be amazing if it were the Cowboys....amazing for me at least.

I will be going to that game for sure.

Arrowhead has some of the best fans in the NFL. And they're crazy loud, even with a crappy team.

We got them in September this past year, why not go there in December this year?

What is the basis for thinking the first home game will be Sunday night as opposed to Monday night?

Has that been announced officially?

Which team will be the Cowboys' first regular-season opponent in their new stadium? How does the road look for the defending champion Pittsburgh Steelers as they try to return to the Super Bowl?
These questions and many more will be answered when the 2009 NFL schedule is released in prime time for the first time, exclusively on NFL.com and NFL Network, on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. ET. The entire 2009 schedule will be announced and analyzed on NFL.com and NFL Network during a two-hour primetime NFL Total Access: 2009 Schedule Release Presented by GMC Sierra.
Just as the NFL Draft and NFL Scouting Combine have grown into highly popular off-season events, the NFL Total Access: 2009 Schedule Release Presented by GMC Sierra is another opportunity for fans to connect with the NFL and to see for the first time where, when, and what time their favorite teams will play next season, as well as to analyze and debate the schedule.
