The Eagles potential schedule starting with week 9 looks tough for the later half of the season.
9-0...perhaps
I understand the Lions are supposed to be pretty good, but a non playoff team in the Thursday Night opener against the Super Bowl champs. That's a terrible first game specially with the Bills, Bengals, Eagles or even the Dolphins on their schedule.
But was has been going on behind the scenes- and will be coming to light now and the future- is the broadcast networks have a veto power sort of in place.
The new arrangement is that ALL NFL GAMES on Sunday are no longer locked into the traditional conference agreement from decades past.
Basically means every NFL game is up for bid for all the networks to bid = pay the most for to get that matchup.
- NFC v. NFC and AFC v. AFC is no longer a lock on FOX and CBS, respectively
- AFC on the road v. NFC is no longer a lock on CBS
- NFC on the road v. AFC is no longer the standard on FOX
Once the entire schedule is released in a few hours, everyone wil see what the new proceedings took place.
In addition to the broacast networks - NFL teams actually HAVE THE POWER TO DICTATE WHERE AND WHEN A FEW OF THEIR GAMES ACTUALLY TAKE PLACE.
