Also, excited about seeing Chad Johnson and the Bengals on Oct. 5. Pacman vs. Ocho Cinco. Great matchup.

Guess Calvin's already penciled in him coming here.

Love this schedule!

Its loaded with many of my favorite yet simple perks.
You are who you are and you play who you play, but enough of these perks can make a difference.

1)We start on the road with a boderline playoff team.

2)We end the season on the road against a non-playoff team.

3)We have a mid season bye.

4)We have road games before and after our bye.

5)Opening and closing on the road and road games sandwiching the bye leave less chance of getting back to back road games. We only get one b to b game!

6)We have a tough road game after our bye. (extra rest)

7)We have just about our toughest roadgame after Thanksgiving. (extra rest)

My initial impressions:

- Glad we're playing the Packers in week 3
- It will not be fun to close the season in Philly, but hopefully they're out of the race by then
- Ravens as the last opponent in Texas Stadium? Silly.
- Seattle at Dallas on Thanksgiving? I'd rather have seen the Giants.
- All in all, I think that the schedule is very favorable

I think I agree with you on the schedule.

How about no Carolina Panthers road game it seels like for the first time in their history.

Heres a quick question.

Why doesn't the league have a set rotation of home/away between Division games.

What I mean is, last year Dallas played in Dallas against New York for the teams 1st meeting. So for fairness, Dallas should play in New York for the 1st meeting between the two teams. It just so happens to work out like that this year but in the past thats not so.

For a few years it seemed like Dallas always played in WAS for the teams second meeting.

I went back and looked at some of the schedules and keep in mind I was just glancing so may not be totally accurate.

Since 2002 and counting the just released schedule, Dallas has been on the road for the 2nd division game a total of 16 times. They have played at home only 5.

Anyone else think they should have it rotate for a little balance?

8) No one has a bye week to rest up before playing us, or a bye week to look foward to after we beat them:cool: . (the skins don't count)

Breaking down the schedule

So it's out. The league gets a big-time opener for the Cowboys, with the loaded-up Browns hosting Dallas. And it'll be another AFC opponent for Texas Stadium's regular-season finale, against Baltimore on Sat., Dec. 20.

Some other things of note here ...

-- The Cowboys, for one reason or another, did not max out on primetime games. The league allows a maximum of six. Dallas has five on its schedule, which allows for the league to flex one of the team's late-season games into the NBC primetime slot.

-

I don't think that is correct. Dallas already is playing in 3 NBC Sunday night games and I believe that is the max any one team can appear in during a season.

Just so you guys can start preparing, get ready for the Sunday Night game against Green Bay to probably be the game the Packers retire Favres number so Madden will still be slobbering all over himself for at least half the game.

Hahaha, figures our last game in Texas stadium would be on NFL network. Not only do we not finish at home, but the NFL manages to screw all the fans that can't get NFL Network.

Thanks, you idiots.

Our schedule is very tough, anyone care to back down from those 11 Wins predictions yet?

If you factor in Thanksgiving, we have 6 primetime games.

Not sure if the NFL counts the Turkey Day games into their max amount of primetime games, though.

I can't believe the Cleveland Browns, who failed to make the playoffs, have THREE Monday Night Football games. Three???

Talk about drinking the kool-aid.

No, it is based on the time the game starts.

Dallas had 3 Sunday night games(Giants, Bears, Eagles), 1 Monday night game(Bills) and 2 NFL Network games(Packers on a Thursday night and Panthers on a Saturday night) this past season for a total of 6.

Looks that way.

I am glad Dallas does not have multiple MNF games or even multiple NFLN games. I prefer FOX over both ESPN and the NFLN.

Thankfully those of us who do get NFLN won't have to suffer through Boring Dumbell's dreadful play-by-play! I heard he was "leaving (meaning fired)" the booth! :beer2: Here's to you, NFLN!!!

Not kool-aid. I think the Browns are going to be one of the best teams in the league next season. They remind me of the young 90s Cowboy teams. The rise of the Browns and fall of the Colts.
