Monday night playoff games are ridiculous!

It is a huge advantage to get that extra day off!

Why did the NFL create a schedule where, in the playoffs, a team playing on Monday could end up playing a team that played on Saturday. If the Gnats and 49ers win, the winner of the Monday game (hopefully the Cowboys) has to travel to San Francisco. That is a big advantage for the 49ers. Monday playoff games are a terrible idea.
but we did get an extra 24-48 hrs to get healthier for the MNF matchup. we needed it too many starters banged up but clsoe.48hrs is a lot for a healing body. that 3-game sin 12 days with ton of road games beat us up mentally and physically

I will say though. Kinda glad we are playing last because I really have a hard time watching football the rest of the weekend if the Cowboys lose. This way I will fully enjoy all the games over the weekend!

They by the following weekend I will be over the disappointment!

Well I do hope the coaches were using all that Washington prep time on Tampa as well. Because they sure did not use it on Washington.

ESPN is at a disadvantage with ratings and revenue so they give them a playoff game and have it on ABC as well to level that out.

There is no ratings gorilla like the Cowboys and having Brady in what might be his last game is a must watch playoff game.

The winner of the MNF game will play on Sunday, probably the late slot so there should be no problem with being ready, it's just like the regular season.

I said before the season the Giants would be a greatly improved team. I am kind of amazed how well Daniel Jones has played with the receivers he has. They play hard but they still have some issues here and there. They could be a challenger for the division title next year. . We'll have to see how the offseason goes for all 4 teams.
Recall how in recent seasons the sports media mocked the division..."NFC LEast".

2020 standings:
7-9 Football Team
6-10 Giants
6-10 Cowboys
4-11 Eagles

Two years later____2022 standings:
14-3 Eagles
12-5 Cowboys
9-7-1 Giants
8-8-1 Commanders

NFC East this season - Only division to have____
● No team with a losing record
● 3 teams with a winning record
● 3 teams qualifying for the upcoming playoffs

The screw job is incoming but Itll be during the Bucs game where Tom Brady gets all the calls he needs.

Yeah anybody think the Tampa offensive line gets called for even one holding penalty Monday night? And how many phantom roughing the passer calls will our defensive line get flagged for? "Personal foul, looking at Tom Brady with a mean face.. 15 yard penalty, automatic first down.. "

There is a TON of truth to this statement .. ever since JJ led the movement to can Roger. He's never gotten over it.

Oh it goes back further than that.. Think 1995 when the league sued Jerry for 1 billion dollars to stop him from cutting his own endorsement deals and then Jerry countersued for 3 billion dollars because he felt that as the owner of a FRANCHISE he should not be constrained from marketing it how he saw fit. Jerry won, the league backed down because they knew he was right... The NFL's #1 lawyer during that episode was none other than Roger Goodell. I guarantee you Goodell has never gotten over that. Now throw in that he grew up in a household with Ratscum season tickets? Are you kidding me!?!?!

Great teams don’t get screwed by the NFL. Great teams overcome whatever obstacles they have. It’s what makes them great. Whoever wins the SB this year will do so after overcoming lots of obstacles. Champions are always tough. Which is the biggest reason we haven’t won one in a long time. Not tough enough.
In the age of salary caps and free agency .. there are no more GREAT teams.

I never really understood the notion that the league wants its biggest ratings draw to lose.
Because they sued the league over marketing rights and changed the marketing stranglehold the NFL had on controlling teams via that revenue source.

The league is all about revenue. I think Cowboys presence helps viewership during the regular season, thus the high number of national games. But for the playoffs, while the Cowboys are undoubtedly the biggest single team draw, the shield owns the American TV landscape with or without the Cowboys.

Sounds like a lengthy rationalization for the Jones boys front office-for-life's failure to produce postseason results since Jimmy's guys were done.

Fans. Pay it no mind.

Having said that, Monday night playoff games are complete BS. The league just arbitrarily selecting two teams to play for the right to advance on short rest just isn't fair.

Agreed. It's a completely stupid idea. Which is sadly also why it seems to be a popular notion around here.

$ $ $ , etc- lol. Monday night playoff games are just plain stupid, unfair to the team that wins and shows how little they care about the players- as do the regular season Thursday Night games. All about the $
