If their season ended today it’s still a better one than the Cowboys’ season. Depth is important on every teams’ roster. Last time the Eagles starting quarterback had a season ending injury they won their only Super Bowl. It’s a “next man up” league. Tough luck for Philly if Hurts can’t come back. As long as he gets healthy at some point it’s all that matters, particularly for these players that suffer concussions.

The fans of every NFL team that misses the playoffs fabricates anything to ease the disappointment. Philly gave themselves a chance. That’s better than playing well to close out the season. The Eagles aren’t winning the Super Bowl with or without Hurts this season. Their prospects for next season are much better than the Cowboys’. It’s tough to accept, but nonetheless true. Unfortunately for Dallas, the same is true of the Commanders.
