jeez we already know it wasnt a penalty. That is all everyone can talk about. I absolutely agree with what cowher just said.... Yes, should not have been a penalty but thats water under the bridge. Just make sure the defender isnt fined, and pray that collie isnt paralyzed.

The rule only says using the helmet unnecessarily. He went for a kill shot and got him in the head that was a penalty and it will be a fine and maybe a suspension too.

not in today's NFL obviously. By the rule it is a flag, fine, and possibly a suspension. I want to see what the NFL is going to do. They already ruled the flag legit (per Cowher)

No it wasn't...read the freaking rule book and stop listening to idiot TV announcers.
he didn't use it 'unnecessarily' he went for a hit and ended up hitting him in the head 1. because collie ducked it to protect himself and 2. because of collies body reaction to the first hit. also the call was that he was a defenseless receiver which he wasn't he caught the ball, covered it, while taking to steps, at that point he is a runner and as we know from the precedent set by Harrison's hit on cribbs a few weeks ago hitting a runner is is not a penalty or a fine

Harrison did get fined.

Coleman launched himself high, he had no intention on making a tackle he was going for a big hit, and that hit was helmet to helmet and a flag.

Harrison was the first to hit him as the ball got there. Collie had already caught it put 2 feet down and hit by another player.

no he didn't, not for the hit on cribbs, the hit on massaquoi(sp?) yes not the hit on cribbs.

he also did not launch himself(defined by him not leaving his feet). and once again if you actually listened to the call it was called as hitting a defenseless receiver(which he wasn't) and even if they called it helmet to helmet it is still wrong because of the points i have already made

What part of a player shall not use his helmet unnecessarily don't you get?

All the runner crap does not matter.
