lol.

I live in ny and last year 12 reg season cowboy games were on tv (cbs.nbc.fox,espn.nfl network)

14 games 2 years ago ..

yeah Ive been keeping track and counting the day's till fios is available in my neighborhood... (alternative is cablevision -worst ever .....ever..)

besides now that you can get the red zone channel on fios (and comcast .. not sure what others) there is no reason to have DTV anymore. i could always hit the bar for a rare boy's game that isn't on"free" tv .

Here in San Diego we get almost every Cowboys game and the few we don't I can stream online. I'd want the package in HD obviously so there is no way in hell I'd pay that price.

They really need to offer single team packages. We shouldn't have to pay for Browns and Bills games.

I gave it up last year as well and only had to watch one game online in Houston. Forget paying $300 to watch one game on TV.

I'm a sucker, I'll pay it for the piece of mind I get knowing I wont have to worry about missing the game.

$18.52 per week is what it breaks down to.

1/2 the price of a pay per view event and a lot less then has been tossed around if they go to a pay per game package.

Less then we spend on one trip to McDonalds or a movie.

Way less then I'm going to spend to go to bar to watch the game.

Just seems worth it to me.

Glad $80 a month for one channel isn't a big deal to you but to most it's beyond ludicrous.

$74.08 and compared to the cost of the alternatives it is a good deal. For those of us that are not blessed enough to live close enough to go to every game or live in a market that shows enough games we dont need to worry about then maybe.

Like I said, most of the guys complaining about the price will go and spend $5 in gas and blow a cool $50 at a bar on food and drink to watch it. Thats fine if you enjoy that atmosphere but dont complain about the price. Me personally, I dont want anyone to see how I act during a game. Public places are not an option.

To each his own and as far as the price going up. So are players contracts.......It's the nature of the beast.

I hear ya and used to feel that way back when i had a job ..lol

if you live in a area that get's you like 6 boy's game a year then yeah it's worth it . but i get a ton of boy's games already and when fios is available in my hood i could watch the best channel ever in the redzone channel im all set for fantasy as well. And besides enough is enough with DTV the price is getting out of control it was $179 2 years ago and now it's going to cost me me $415 ($315 for the Sunday ticket and another hundo for the super fan split into 6 payments) times are tough my friend

I dumped it when it was $200. I get all of our games on locally so I didn't need it.

I really wished they offered single game pay-per-views. I'd pay $25 to $30 for 1 of the few Cowboy games not shown nationally. I could care less about the rest of the league, I see them in the highlight shows.

15 of the 16 games were on here in LA last year. I went to a local sports bar for the Cowboys-Seahawks game and had a great time. I am definitely down to to do that a few times a year rather than pay $300 to watch 1 or 2 games.

Now, if the Cowboys are awful and their games stop getting shown here in LA, I'll have to pay that ridiculous ransom.

You guys need to call the Customer Retention department at Directv. I call every year and get at least $60 off; they give me a $10 credit for 6 months.

I have had nfl ticket for about 8 years now. I am sick of the price. Especially for how much they add for hd games. The SD feed for these games is comparable to streaming it online. I think this is the year i finally tell them where they can stick it. Last year i got a free upgrade to superfan with HD by talking to customer retentions. But it was a nightmare that started with a series of calls about other made up issues. I wanted to get everything on record so when i called they saw how many times i have called in before and they thought i was serious. I dont feel like going through that again.

I am guessing about 6 games wont be shown locally this year. That comes out to $69 per game. Thats crazy.

Are all the games available to stream online through sopcast or channelsurfing.net?

If so i'm out of NFL ticket.

We don't pay that much up here. All the games aren't HD but they offer 3 additional ones in HD. I paid 40 a month for four months I think. Chicken feed in an overall sense. I got most Cowboy games on regular tv but still I am guaranteed to see the others which is all I want. Peace of mind is worth the 160

Exactly. I refuse to pay extra for HD. This isn't the 80's anymore. HD should be standard. And I'm not going to pay a penny for a few non-HD games a year when I can stream them for free online and I have my comp hooked up to my TV. DTV needs to realize in this age where everyone can see these games for free online, they need to be priced somewhere within the realm of reality. :bang2:
