NFL Sunday Ticket

This topic is so sickening. Every year some putz brings this topic up. Should I get it ,its too much money wa wa wa .
I have had the Ticket for 15 years dont care how many games were on last year or the year before. I bleed blue and silver and want to see all 16 games not 12 or 14 but 16!!!
For 18.52 per week to sit in the comfoert of my home to watch on a HD 55" tv hell ya

I went to the Cowboy - Vikes playoff game and spent $300 per ticket bought 2 spent $129 for Hotel and $88 dollars for gas spent 9 hours on the road and heard some ******* say F the cowboys with his buddy for 45 min straight
sign me up anyday for the Ticket
I wont put up with Fox or CBS bs when they tease you and show you a game then have to leave due to time . The best is when the Vikes game runs late on my local Fox and they expect me to miss 1st quarter of Cowboys Giants game NO THANKS

So quit *****ing about the price You live in America you dont have to purchase it. It is there for fans like me that must watch Viking FB every week. Hell Last year I watched the TB lions game instead of the Cowboys no thnaks any game anytime that is for me

right just like if you don't like the topic then don't read the thread .. people are just pissed and venting .. no harm .. move on .

The sad part is if you have comcast you can watch red zone for free but if you have directv and buy Sunday Ticket you still have to pay for red zone.

I haven't missed a Cowboys game in a long time being from Philly, but every year it's a struggle to get the money up for Sunday Ticket. Last year it was 6 payments of 44.95. Probably if your a returing customer there going to give it to you for 300 or if the 319 is for returning customers, that means new customers might be 335.

I don't get the 30 dollar hikes every year. 200 is fair imo.

Where would a person go and complian at? For both NFL and Directv. Is there an email.

The difference is this thread is a topic from Feb to sept over and over every year about the price.
Just wait till the guys start telling you how they wont pay the price but go down to a sportsbar to watch the game
Like that is fun and also cost effective

If it bother you that much stop opening the thread. Problem solved.

I have both DirecTV and Dish Network. The problem I have is a neighbors tree interferes with my DTV signal which causes alot of freezing. I only have DTV for NFL Sunday ticket. What I decided to do was get Dish Network and watch all my programming on that and watch DTV strictly to see Cowboy games on Sunday Ticket. DTV's dish has to be pointed in a southeastern direction which is where I have tree issues. Dish Networks dish has to be pointed in a southwestern direction which gives me a clear shot. Too bad they don't offer Sunday Ticket because Dish is a better value than DTV. Dish offers more channels for the money and I like their DVR better. They also offer all HD programming with HD packages. The HD package I have has all the channels I was getting with DTV plus a few extras and I pay $49.99 compared to $84.99 with DTV. Plus Dish Networks dish is 20x20 and DTV's HD dish is 36x24. I just have the basic family package with DTV which is $34.99. Even though I'm just keeping that service for Sunday Ticket you still have to have a programming package. For those who aren't aware you can suspend your DTV service for 6 months to keep off the monthly charges if you're only a DTV subscriber for Sunday Ticket.

This is the 1st time I have complained about this thread. I have every right to tell people to quit *****ing when you are a Cowboy fan it costs.
Do you think if I go to the Vikes Lions game it will cost me $300 a ticket no it cost me that to watch the Boys to play the Vikes in the playoffs
What I am saying is it is cheap to go with Sunday ticket
Do I like the $ hell no ,but if you want to see alll the games and you dont have the oppurtunity to go to the 8 home games it is cheap at $20 per week for 17 weeks.
If you chew drink date money or gamble it is not hard to save $20 week

The moral of the story is I went to 1 Cowboys game in Minnesota and spent $600 for room ticket agent fee and gas Sunday ticket is a steal for that kind of money to watch 14 games a week for 17 weeks

KJJ, I tried that and they told me that I need to have a package to get Sunday Ticket. I told them all I was doing was ordering Sunday Ticket and thy told me that I needed to have the cheapiest package 29.99. I have had ST for almost 11 years.

My other issue is Comcast gets the Red Zone channel with their channel package, I pay for the channel package and Sunday Ticket but I don't even get the Red Zone channel like them. Not that it matters because it would drive me crazy if Dallas is playing say Houston and were driving on the 20 yard line and you hear were moving to the Cle-KC game where Cle is abou to score. Red Zone is very good for the 4 o'clock games that have only 2-3 games on at once. Your get to see most of all three games.

Its nice to have a group of guys chip in. :) Makes it about $25 a person for the year.

That's what I said you have to have a programming package with DTV you can't just order Sunday Ticket. The cheapest package available at the time I did this last summer was the family package for $29.99 and you have to pay $5 extra for the dvr/receiver.

$315, non-HD, non-extra special packages or whistles..

" take that, football fans. "

Sincerely:

Roger Goodell and Direct TV

We Canadians get a deal. $30/month for (NBA/NFL/NHL/MLB, NVAA ESPN games). If you only want NFL, it works out to $120.

Some people have more disposable income than others. Some people won't pay the price, no matter how much money they have. The way I see it, DTV is a business and they don't owe me anything. The law of supply and demand will take care of their pricing, and the way it looks, there are a lot of people willing to pony up the bucks. I'm one of them. I'm a die-hard Cowboys fan, but I watch football all day on Sundays and I like being able to watch whatever I want.

Do you know the only thing worse than someone whining and complaining is someone who wines and complains about someone winning and complaining.

Do you really think you made any eye opening points in your post? Well thanks for reminding us that we are in America and dont have to buy it.
Like a few other have said if this topic isnt one you can relate to them dont respond. I read many threads that i cant relate or contribute to so guess what i do? I hit the back button and go back to the main board to read some more threads.

What you should try to realize is that some people are having a difficult time paying more and more every year for the same or less content. There is a good chance that Dallas may not be shown only 4 times next year on local tv. I dont like the idea of having to pay 400 to see those 4 games on tv. Even on my 65 inch HD. I will still watch every single cowboys game. I have not missed one in over 15 years. But for those 4 games i may find another way. And having 14 games per week available isnt a big selling point. I am not changing the channel even once when the cowboys are on. So the other games shown at the same time may as well not even be on.

Only $120 per year in Canada? Man the NFL must really think we here in the states are stupid charging us 300-400.

It is getting out of hand $300 for the games and another $100 for HD. And to top it off we are going to have to listen to a bunch of rich mo-fos arguing about how many millions of our $$$ they each get. TV and ticket prices are getting out of hand, eventually they are going to alienate us average Joes.

I read this thread every year and every time I do I thank god that I live in Amarillo and catch every Cowboy game no matter what. I'm not trying to rub it in to those of you who do not get every Cowboy game...it's interesting to me to see what true Cowboy fans have to do to catch all the games that live out of Cowboys regional market.
When the Cowboys started having games on the NFL network I didn't hesitate to switch to satellite. It was a no brainer and now that Dish has the redzone I am not missing out on not having the Direct TV sunday ticket.
The last thing I would want to do is go to a sportsbar and watch the Cowboys game. I take things really personally when the Cowboys game is on and I know myself well enough to stay away from places that will get me in trouble. I can't believe I get so worked up watching the games but I do and I can't help it.

I called last year and said due to the economy, I can't pay $300 plus for the Sunday Ticket. What specials do you have?

They gave me the Ticket for $130 plus the HD channels.

I'm going to do the same thing this year. If they don't give me the cut-rate special, I'm canceling my subscription. I usually didn't get home in time to make it worth my while anyway. Unless the Cowboys games were on at 3 p.m./4 p.m., then I missed much of the first half anyway.

tyke, depends on who you talk to. The one year for what ever reason and no techinian etc could pinpoint it, I would get the odd ball game blacked out. For example, I live in Philly and the Jags-Bills game was blacked out. Might not sound like a big deal but I had Lynch on my fantasy team. The game was on downstairs on the other 5 recievers here. The one lady I talked to just told me its the NFL blackout policy which was clearly not. She obviously wasn't a football fan and was reading off a manuel as many of us would do in other professions. Anyways, next week same thing happens but this time its the Giants and I think Cleveland. Again, its on downstairs and there is no black out. I call back this time and the lady was awesome; she talked to several tech guys and re-sent my signal etc and we all came to the conclusion that it was the dvr and they were willing to replace it. Well, I save all the Cowboy games on dvr and it would be a pain in the butt to switch so I said no for now. She gave me the option on what I wanted for my trouble and I got Showtime because it was the first season of Inside the NFL. I still say my dvr registered to a New York area code because I get local Philly stuff that's blacked out on other recievers on mine and New York Rangers games get blacked out. Anyways, point being its all who you talk to.lmk what happens.

I dropped Direst tv - was paying $80 a month here plus Ticket I got real tired of getting a bill for just less than $150 and they ill not even take a payment in one lump sum - which I find unusual - just not worth it anymore - I am paying enuf - times are tough - I think I can get most on the internet
at least I going to try it this year - with some help from you guys

HELP I NEED MY COWBOY FIX
I paid my Sunday Ticket bill in a lump sum last year. I did it online, so you might want to check into it. Of course, that doesn't address the rising cost, but the option is there to pay it that way.
