NFL to actually DROP the price of Sunday Ticket

Red zone is absolutely stupid..

I watch football GAMES-not red zone possessions

Granted if I didn't have Sunday ticket and only had red zone then I'd probably watch red zone..but having Sunday ticket, I have never used the red zone channel
Generally speaking, not all they show on the Red Zone channel are red zone drives.

The little time I watched it showed that if a team crosses the 50 yard line, then they'd switch to show their driving down the field.

Redzone = godsend for when you have friends over and your game isn't on yet OR if you play fantasy football.

I used to think the same thing then I discovered how enjoyable it can be when I'm just relaxing waiting for the Cowboys game or they are off and don't feel like playing channel surfing trying to dodge time outs.

I might actually consider this now.. Simply because I got addicted to Red Zone, but because I have DTV, I can't get it without Sunday Ticket.

And with the Texans being a good team, they might get more late games to compete with the Cowboys.

The Red Zone is like crack to die-hard football fans.

No, nfl Sunday ticket would be the answer

The red zone channel is more like crack for fantasy football fans

I always have friends over that come mooch of my Sunday ticket, lol..they ALWAYS want to watch the RZ channel to keep up w their fantasy teams..

Nope! Not having that lol.

I can understand how it would be awesome for fantasy football purposes..I play fantasy football too, but I don't let that interfere w how I watch games..I like to actually watch the flow of games and pay attention to what's happening..

I agree w/ your point here but like sdgogo, the RZC is on while I am preparing food for my guests and getting ready for the Cowboys game to begin.

very upsetting that the 199.95 price doesn't include the ability to watch games on your computer. i don't have directv but i've read you can get nil sunday ticket just for your computer. they need to hook people like me up and lower the price just for non directv subscribers.

That's a pretty damn good point

Last season was the 1st season in a long time that I didn't bet on a game in..hopefully I can keep the run going..definitely saved some coin..

Every year it seems they offer it free to new subscribers. SO i call and ask for a discount, and they just offer to break it out in monthly payments.

I am like i have been with DirecTV for years and cant get a break versus someone signing up brand new and they get it for free?

no matter whom i talk to in the retention department it is still monthly installments.

I will try again this year. Wish me luck.

I'm at a loss over this. I can't imagine why they'd do it.

Sure, it's over priced. But so is everything. I'm stunned they would give fans a break.

My contract is up with dish network. I will definitely be going with direct tv.

This decision was easy for DIRECTV since the emergence of the Redzone Channel. The Sunday Ticket doesn't have the same appeal it had in 2000

Exactly, the Redzone Channel channels surfs for you

That's amazing. Incredible value now.
Totally agree. Now that's a fair price. I'd cut them off last year having gotten stubbornly cranky, in defiance of their TOO HIGH pricing ... from my point of view, anyway. Bravo DirecTV. You priced me back into NFL Sunday Ticket.

DirecTV lowered the price. I'm back in the fold. And I'm appreciative.

Blah. I love the RZC, but its going to be hard to justify spending another 100 bucks for it, since I don't use the other stuff.

One thing I have never understood is that in Canada I paid $24.99 for 4 months last year for the Sunday ticket. Yet you in the US were paying well over a $100 more/year.

Oh and I got MLB and NBA for free as a bonus.

I think Redzone might be the best addition to Sunday football that I have seen in a long, long time.

Rather than watch a stinker in my local market, I can get all the goods from all the games around the league.

Often times the late games are shown heavily because there are only a few of them on.

The solution for that is to get a slingbox. You can connect it to your tv, and then watch your normal programming on your smart phone, computer, or tablet. I recently got one for myself, and one for my Dad (mainly because I travel more for work than he does, and he gets NFL Sunday Ticket, so I'll just connect to his slingbox, it's a father's day gift, so as you can see, I'm already thinking ahead).

Slingbox's work great if you have the upload speed to support them.

I'm not sure but I think a computer only package was roughly the same price as the whole package together.

Might have been more because they have to make up for not charging you for the box, HD fees and all that other stuff that goes along with it.
