NFL to actually DROP the price of Sunday Ticket

That's so cool. I really hope the NFL rolls something like that our before this new season starts. As a matter of fact, I'm literally prayin they do since I won get the last 3 games of the season.

Me too. They'd make a KILLING if they offered anything like that.

Because the Sunday Ticket is ONCE a week and more exciting. Baseball is as exciting as my left toenail and it has more games which is every night of the week. That's the difference

The discussion isn't about preference for one sport or another. I was just wishing the NFL offered something like MLB.tv.

I'd easily pay $250 a year for a comprehensive package that includes draft coverage and preseason games. Maybe more.

Well you are not going to get the same deal if the NFL is the more appealing product. When it comes to MLB.tv they are trying to give that away because not a lot of people buy it.

How do you know? Do you have the numbers to prove it? There are a lot of nfl fans but a lot aren't willing to spend $300 on a package. I wouldn't be surprised if more baseball fans have the baseball package than football fans have the football package

Im sorry but the NFL prices a lot of people out of their package with that price. Yea people will pay for it. I'm not saying make it cheap but if the price point was a little more aggressive more people would have it

People like or love what they like or love. They do not appreciate what interests them on the basis of someone else's criteria. If someone has the means to see as much of what they enjoy, so be it.

I cannot fathom why anyone would purchase a premium programming package for NASCAR. It's people driving around in an oval a whole bunch of times. Big whoop, but if people who love it can pay to see it on their own terms, good for them. It does not mean squat to a NASCAR fan that I'm never going to shell out anything for it.

Who says I haven't been over to Ruston to watch the Bulldogs? :p: Shoot. ULM needs more attendance help than Tech does. :)

ULM needs a lot more than attendance help! :lmao2:

From the Gamepass website:

The best you can do is NFL Game Rewind which isn't live and can't be watched when a primetime game is going on.

Well I am in Germany, so na na na na boo boo!

Can't argue that point, but they presently require more fan support than Tech just the same. :) How close is Tech from joining Conference USA? There are going to be a LOT of teams in that conference.

We are probably two weeks from being announced as members beginning in 2013. There is still the possibility that the merger with MWC doesn't go through and then we would just be in the old CUSA. This will be much better for us travel wise, plus we are already getting some preseason top 25 love :)

They deserve the recognition. Sonny Dykes is a heck of a head coach. [EDIT] Still don't know how Houston escaped with a win last season.

If you only want to watch on your computer, it's $110 a year or $20 a month.

If you want to watch on your PS3, Xbox, Roku, etc, it's $125 a year or $25 a month.

That gives you access to all the games live or you can watch them later. It's very very nice.

I think the premium package is $124.95 this year. Previous subscribers get it for what they paid last year - $119.95.

All games in HD and you can watch any you want except on Saturday when they blackout day games becuz of the FOX broadcast game of the week.

You also have 2 days to go back and watch any game you may have missed or want to re-watch. You can even select which inning you would like to watch.

It is a great deal compared to the Sunday Ticket. 162 games for $120 - about 75 cents a game.

Today i watched some of the Rangers/Tigers and then switched to the Orioles game. After the Orioles game I went back and watched the top half of the Rangers game to see how they won.

It would be really cool if the NFL did something like this. This is one area that MLB has done way better than the NFL. Surprising considering Dud Selig is the commish for MLB.

To follow one team for a 162 games??????????????

That is one of the many beauties of baseball. You get like 6 months to follow your team and its every night!

Not like football where you only get 1 game a week.

And with baseball there are no bye weeks.

With football you get 3 hours a week - with baseball you get 3 hours a night/day!

If you dont like baseball its becuz you dont know/understand the game. It is the "thinking mans" game after all . . . . :laugh1: :laugh2:

I doubt it if they are charging $120 for 162 games.

You dont think avid baseball fans are willing to shell out 75 cents a game to watch their team in HD - and at any time of the day they choose?

I think it's cheap because there are not a lot of people buying it. The NBA League pass was $150 for 66 games this year. So why is baseball only charging $120 for a 162 games? I know why, because it's not that popular.
