It's the exact opposite of that. The kicking game has changed dramatically without any rule changes. FG percentages are much much higher than they used to be, and XPs are ridiculous. I'm all for anything that makes kicking more risky (like it used to be) and increases the importance of, you know, actual football plays. I see no downside to this move.Stupid. Don't change for the sake of change.

Why don't they widen the hash marks like college? It wouldn't be a straight on attempt then.
