pretty sure nfl teams don't take guys off the street anymore. You gotto try out for an arena team then hope to get noticed. Best bet is to go to college though honestly.

Your best bet is to go to college.

However, if you are dead set on not doing that, then you should hire a professional (not a friend with a camcorder) to film a kicking session of you kicking field goals, kicking off, etc. and store it in DVD format. Then, send a copy to each of the special team coaches and kicking coaches (if applicable) of each NFL team.

However, I can tell you that at 19, no matter how well you kick, you cannot play for an NFL team.

NFL rules state that you cannot play in the NFL until you have been out of high school for at least 3 years.

Your best bet is to contact the special team and/or kicking coaches to make them aware of you (if you really are good) so that in the future, they will already know about you.

Oh, and just so you know .. accuracy means nothing until you've proven it on a field with NFL players trying to block your kicks.

One thing you learn while kicking in college is that the defensive line is much taller than high school teams and in the NFL, they get even taller.

Go to the nfl website, get a contact phone number in the careers section. Call them and ask for an Application for Kicker. If you want to be a starter, that's a separate application. Capitalize every other word on the form. Practice phrases like 'do you want fries with that?' and 'dude, how much will you give me if I eat that _______?' as a backup plan.

Clarett couldn't beat this ruling, but ppcorn, the boy wonder of HS kicking is going to beat it.

:laugh2:

Go to college bro. You would probably be better suited to go the JUCO route since you weren't recruited out of HS.

No offense though, but if you weren't recruited out of HS as a kicker, what makes you think you could go to the NFL right now?

Ah come on. There is no reason to insult the guy. Just tell him the truth that he probably needs to play college ball or get an agent. No need to act like internet Simons and redicule him. Does making fun of someone really make your life better or make you feel good about yourself?

Just send the guy a PM and ask to be his agent already, geez.

Someone must have watched the movie "Invincible" lately...Marky Mark stole your heart huh?

If the NFL doesn't work out, you can always be on Pros vs. Joes

As a veteran "guy" who has spent his entire life hanging out with other veteran "guys" - I am aware that pretty much all we do is rip on each other, and ogle T-n-A. Seeing as how this is a male-dominated forum, I'd expect nothing less. :D It has nothing to do with self-esteem, it's just what "guys" do.

Have you considered going to Florida for the NFL Europe tryouts? I think you have a much better chance of a real shot by aiming lower to start the climb than to set your sights on Mt. Everest right out of the gate.

It would put you in the right circle to even get noticed. Besides at 19 years old going to Europe is a golden opportunity.

Adjust your aim and good luck.

Oh yeah, :welcome: to the forum.
