So, since 2000 only one team that was the last undefeated team during each season has gone on to win the Super Bowl. The Colts did it and it wasn’t even their best team that accomplished it. It’s hard to believe that only one team has pulled this off in over 20 years. This does not bode well for the Eagles.

its very intriguing to say the least. There is something to the journey being difficult vs easy (the 2006 cowboys team comes to mind); in addition the whole peaking at the right time convo has to be had as well. I am glad we started the season off with adversity and made it through it...that type of stretch can really make a team tough mentally

I thought the 1972 Dolphins were the only undefeated team to do that.

The Eagles have a real 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers vibe going. I believe that team started 11-0. Philly is a solid team with one solid win, and an overly inflated record from playing dregs and a compromised contender (Dak-less Dallas). I expect a similar outcome. Hurts is good, but he isn't that good.

really comes down to coming out of the gate hot and then cooling off.

The Colts were undefeated? and won the SB? Im confused...
This entire thread is about the last team to lose a game in any given season. It’s not about going undefeated throughout an entire season. The Eagles, for instance will be the last team to lose this season (assuming they don’t actually go undefeated, which they won’t).

The Eagles haven't trailed in the second half of any game this season. What happens if/when they do in a playoff game? They haven't been tested.

Pretty simple explanation why these teams typically don't make it to the super bowl....

Usually the last team to remain undefeated has an easier schedule.

It's evident that losing tough games against playoff competition in the regular season is better than not playing them at all.

....and this thread is about as useful as an empty toilet paper role.
