Merriman ran down his list and DWare wasn't on the list... Thoughts?

The ones I can remember in no particular order:
Terreell Suggs
Houston - From KC
Tamba Hali
Mario Edwards
Robert Mathis

He also didn't put Jared Allen.... Is Merriman still doing steroids and messed his brain up?

Ware has been injured and those guys have been playing great (assuming Mario Williams instead of Mario Edwards), so what is the issue?

Since he and Ware came out at the same time, their careers are often compared. Doubt Merriman wants to acknowledge Ware as one of the best pass rushers because in doing so, he would essentially be admitting that Ware was the better pick. Which is obvious but you know, Merriman is silly.

I have a better question - who suddenly decided Merriman was qualified to be on NFLN? He's not that good.

That Von Miller isn't on the list.

I reread the OPs issue and I didn't see Von Miller among his concerns. Be that as it may, the list is one person's opinion and if he chooses to keep off a dude that was suspended for six games off of it I am not going to ding him for it.

That is most likely because he was asked for his top five, not top ten nor what he felt other people might like to see as their top five. I can see a reason to debate who others would put instead, but no reason whatsoever to say that any of those people on his list are an issue. By the way, for those of you that have not watched the segment, Merriman was talking about his top five "right now", as in this season.

No, he shouldn't.

Welcome to 2013. Pretty sure Merriman's list is referring to the CURRENT top pass rushers. Ware and Peppers don't belong on that list.

I have no problem with his list...my problem is that I agree with Wares omission from the list.

I wouldn't put Ware on the list, either. This will change after this weekend after Ware trucks Brees a few times.

Most of that list are players who make game-changing plays so I have no issue with the list. I would not have put Ware on it last year or this year. I love Ware but feel he has not performed to his capability even when he has been healthy.

That's a bit extreme. What is a game changing play? LOL When is a sack EVER meaningless especially with how many yards we give up?

Hard to argue if it's current.

But 'current' best just isn't all that impressive considering we're just over halfway through the season and a few elite talents have been sidelined (Von, Aldon, Ware, Matthews, and a few others).
