I'm reminded of Parcells' old sayings about eating the cheese. Not that the players are listening to the NFL Network morning show's predictions, but generally speaking there's a sentiment out there that the Cowboys are the much better team. With our young roster, Garrett's greatest test will be to make sure his players have maintained the same, razor-sharp focus they've had since the bye week, and not to take anything about tomorrow for granted.

Cliche, sure, but it's all true.

The Lions have a great defensive line and a dynamite wide receiver tandem, but that shouldn't be enough to singlehandedly undo the kind of Cowboys team we've seen put on the field for the last two months. I just hope we play like that team tomorrow.

They don't.

I think a lot of their confidence in Dallas prolly comes not only from the Cowboys' hot streak but also from the way Green Bay rolled through the Detroit D on the ground. I think Detroit will defend us very differently than they did Green Bay, though. I'm guessing the Lions tried to take away the GB passing game first, and Lacy made them pay. I think Detroit will focus on our ground game, so it'll be up to Romo, Dez, Witten & Co. to make them pay.

Interesting that they are pretty much picking the Boys offense to walk through Detroits D. Maybe they expect Detroit to come out flat? I think the Boys will be in control but those numbers predicted are a bit much. I think if Murray gets close to 150, Romo will be between 220-240.

Agreed we should be controlling the clock. I don't think these guys understand our offense.

We've got all pros all across the board on offense. That's why we're the favorites. We're like that!

Dallas is the better team, but imo the media will exaggerate the boys advantage so they can make it seem like the 83 Wolfpack upsetting Houston if they lose. If they win, they have the Dallas Vs GB hype. If they lose, they can run the "how could Dallas blow it?" angle for a week. Either way they'll have a story set up for the most popular franchise. Goes with the territory I guess.

I don't think it affects the outcome though.

Should we be scared that everyone is picking us to win? Normally we come up short when we're the favorites... this year does feel different though. Oh and I just got some tickets to the game! :flagwave:

Cowboys playing with house money right now.

Let's ride this out and enjoy it.

No they aren't, especially after the December they had. They are expected to win and that's not playing with house money. I understand no one expected them to be here but that changed somewhere around week 8.

A lot of bold predictions made about the Boys.

Warner says Romo will pass 350+ yards and Murray will run for 150+ yards (first time in playoff history / first time vs Lions this season)

Sapp says Boys will break total offense record for a wildcard game (500 something yards)

Irvin says Dez will break his playoff single game records in his first playoff appearance (192 yards 2 tds)

A lot of love and hype on the Boys it's scaring me.

Was expecting Faulk to predict Romo to throw multiple picks including a pick 6 lol

I agree- wth are these guys doing. now the Boys are GASED up, damn!

We need to reestablish that Cowboys mystique where we are expected to win and we ALWAYS do. It's been a long time..

However…while we are doing so i will be nervous for a few weeks :)

I never like hearing that, lol, but maybe it's true. For me, the cowboys are where they supposed to be, no house money. This team was great at the beginning of the season and still is. House money would be a good reference to the Raven. They were out but got help and beat the Steelers- the Ravens are playing with house money, IMO.

If you picked the Cowboys to do what they've done this year then good for you.

I for one saw 7-9 to 9-7 and I'm as homeristic as they come at times.

The reason I said playing with house money is that I feel like this team is so far above expectations that anything they do this post season is gravy.

Unless they lay an egg tomorrow.

Next year is the year of expectations
