It's great to see some of this stuff finally...

Deion Sanders heaping tons of love on Jason Garrett. He also says the hiring of Ray Sherman as WR coach will be key to this team...

Romo looking very sharp...

Deion on Wade:

"What does a "players coach" mean. I like a winning coach. A players coach, does that mean I can go talk to him anytime I want or he's going to allow me to get away with things? No, Wade Phillips is not that kind of guy. I think he's tough, I think he's strong. He's also a disciplinarian, but he's not outrageous he's not ridiculous. He's a nice guy that you can communicate with. That's why I believe he has the title or entitlement of a "player's coach"."

Deion on Garrett:

His (Wade's) OC is Jason Garrett and Garrett spent many years here as a backup QB for the Dallas Cowboys. His past two years he was QB coach at Miami. Now he's OC, Deion he's gonna be calling the plays fro the first time in his career. Is he up for the challenge?

"I think he is. He's comes from a history, a family of football. His father was a scout here. His brother is the co-OC believe it or not. And Jason, I call him Red, excuse me if I call him Red. Jason is a football guy, smart guy; Princeton, played ten years in the league. He knows the game of football. He has Wade Wilson as the QB coach, who played 19 years in the game. And Wade, Wade Wilson just left the game in '99. Jason left the game in 2004 so they're not so detached from the game that they don't understand players, they don't know how to communicate, put players in the right position, and all of these guys are excited about what Jason Garrett is bringing to the table."

Pretty obvious that a lot of those "long runs" we've read about are just the defensive players letting up and the RB continuing on.

Spencer is a big boy. Way thicker than Ware.

That Jackie Battle kid does look pretty good though...regardless of the defense letting up.

Jones on TO:

"Well, uh, I think that, uh, I interviewed, uh, eleven candidates for our head coaching job. Every one of them to the man said that "we're gonna have Terrell Owens aren't we?". So that will give you some indication of just what an impact that he has, uh, is. Obviously his statistics are important, but I know how he impacts defenses when we play them, and, uh, there was never a consideration to not have him with our team, uh, in the future."

Not a lot of substance. I was dissappointed, they didn't show a lot of plays.

Yeah, after all the buildup, I was a little disappointed in the show.

Jones on Romo:

Deion: "Speaking of knocking on the door, Tony Romo is knocking on your door right now wanting a new contract. Do you think it's viable to wait; to roll the dice and see how he does, or reward him right now before the season starts."

Jones: "Well, that ththth sound you here behind that door, that furniture gettin' knocked over, that's me tryin' to get to the door you know that, uh, I, uh, uh, we we passed, uh, uh buh buh we passed on a real good young quarterback at Notre Dame, Quinn, uh, because, uh, that can say it better than anything we think Tony is the guy for us for the future at that position. Uh, and it's, uh, to reconcile it, uh, I know that he wants to be here for the long term, I know he wants to have that kind of success so the question is, uh, do we both make a decision that's more security for him and more risk for the Cowboys, uh, or do we wait, uh, get another 23 games in our case, by the way that means you played in the Superbowl if you get 23 games, and I'd love to have them; and his repertoire, I'd love to see 23 more games out of him, uh, before he have to make a big commitment. But we can do that if he can, uh, come together and get a little benefit of him not having totally proven out or us willing to, uh, step out there with him."

i thought one of the more interesting tidbits from Deion was when he was talking about Roy W during the 11 on 11 drills. He said that roy lost 25lbs this offseason and was back to the wieght he was during his rookie year. Maybe that was reported earlier,, but it is the first time I heard it.

Wade Phillips is funny as hell.

Making jokes about the "Start Romo" poster... Wade is like, "Great coaching."

I am getting to know what a "players' coach" means more and more the more I hear Wade interact witht the players, coaches and media.

I liked seeing Ellis and Stewart (I guess that was the coach) taking Ware aside and giving him a little private session on pass rush moves. I dont know who I am more excited to see play this year - Ware or Romo.

It wasn't that great. I was expecting them to show more drills and stuff. They didn't really show much.
