replacing a player who has played at a high level, albeit somewhat inconsistently, when that player is going into a contract year is just not a high priority.

I like the fact that at 320 RIGHT NOW Dareus can be Rat's replacement at NT down the road in 3-4 years.

And it's not like Dareus didn't bring pressure at Bama.

He may not have wowed with a lot of sacks but he made a lot of plays in the backfield.

One will trade for Kolb and San Fran will trade down hoping to get Luck next year. Harbaugh strikes me as a smart fella, so I don't think he'll reach for a QB who's not great prospect just because they need one.

One will trade for Kolb. One will trade for Palmer. Seattle will take Locker at 25 or where ever they pick.

Other teams that need QB's will take Ponder, Kaepernick, and Mallet 2-3.

He's popping up in a few mocks lately because Carolina needs a QB and he's the safest pick out of the bunch right now.

He's being considered because of the importance of his position but he's definitely not that pedigree of talent.
