I dont have NFLN because Time Warner refuses to offer it. One of these days I am going to switch to Direct TV, but for the time being it will be ESPN.

The coverage sucks on ESPN, but watching Kiper get owned over and over each year is priceless!!!

My favorite draft of all time was the one where the Colts drafted Edgerin James over Ricky "pot head" Williams and Kiper was just going off on the Colts and how stupid Bill Polian was.

ESPN then interviewed Polian after the break and he was like, "who the *** is this Kiper guy trashing our pick". The Polian went off on Kiper saying he didnt know jack and that is why he is sitting and watching the draft instead of running it because he didnt know what the hell he was doing and on and on.........

That was freaking awesome watching Kiper getting owned right there on national TV, freaking priceless!!!!

Yea, that is what all my friends tell me. I was going to switch to Direct TV and get Sunday Ticket last year, but with the exception of the NFLN game, all the Cowboy games are shown here in the Austin area.

So my thinking was "why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free"???

I have to say this in caps WHOEVER DOESNT TELL YOU WHO THE PICK IS BEFORE THEY ANNOUNCE IT LIVE. A couple years ago Berman had all of these inside sources and they were telling the audience the pick 10 seconds before the commish announced it. Thats like telling you how a movie ends. The NFL network I watched last year because of this and their better coverage. They still announced picks too but not as bad. I dont know if that annoys anyone else besides me.

I don't get NFLN so I am stuck with ESPN.

However I like to also listen to the ticket with Norm doing the complete coverage...especially on the second day when normally ESPN completely misses most of the picks in the late rounds.

The ticket normally will also carry Jerry calling the rooks, but that might change since they are no longer the flag ship.

Is the new flag ship station doing some kind of draft coverage this year?

you should hit the zone chat room.. it's usually jumping as well

I'm usually on the pc, and switching back and forth, tho I lean to NFLN more.

I will be spending many hours this weekend in the Zone chat, listening to the ticket, and turning it down and letting ESPN announce the pick.

I'll admit I watch ESPN most of the time just for the nostalgia of it. I flip to NFLN quite a bit though depending on what they are showing.

On both stations, the second day of the draft is terrible as they just rehash the first day over and over again. Expect 16 packages on Mark Sanchez on repeat.

I'm having a draft party this weekend and there is a problem. Some of us like NFLN coverage of the draft and others like ESPN. I personally like NFLN because I think Mayock is just simply better than Kiper and I can't stand McShay. Just wanted some of your opinions on which one you will be watching and why.

Chances are ESPN, old habits are hard to break. :laugh1:

That is when you turn on the ticket on the computer.

I may listen to it more than in other years just because we don't have a first rounder.

As a Kiper fan, I'm in the minority. I will be primarily watching ESPN; however, I will DVR the NFLN coverage and watch it later.

I agree though that Berman needs to retire his draft chair and Keyshawn should find something else to do this weekend.

Last year, I caught Norm online with the Ticket. Although I am biased I don't believe that there was a better broadcast... tv or radio. It was great!

The only thing I hate about NFLN is that their HD signal looks like **** on draft day. I don't know why, but last yaer when I was switching back and forth there was a HUGE difference in picture quality between ESPN and NFLN.

I hate spending all this money on HD service, equipment, tv, etc. and see that turd served up on draft day. Hopefully it's better this year, because NFLNs coverage is superior on many fronts.

NFLN on the bigscreen.

ESPN muted on a 2nd tv in the room, just in case they've got good interview or something.

The Ticket streaming on the computer w/ the war room webcam going, too.

I much prefer to listen to Norm than any of the TV guys not named Mayock.

leave the audio off of both channels.

Listen to the tickets coverage, its the best there is. The visual doesnt really matter.

Did they name a new flagship station yet. If they did I completely missed it. Which would be unusual not to here about it in the area.
