He's floating the idea and it most likely wasn't his. The last negotiation, the NFLPA reps realized they could push anything and everything as long as it wasn't a bigger cut of the action and the owners would get round heeled as long as it wasn't money.

They will push as hard and far as they can go, up to "hey, we'll show up on gamedays but only an hour before and that's if you send the limo".

As fans, we don't like it but if we were players, we'd be all over it.

Really, what good are the OTA's except to get media coverage for the league during the down time? For decades, they ran the league beginning in July with camp and preseason in August and a lot of the lineman showed up overweight and out of shape and worked their way into it and they had a lot fewer soft tissue injuries back then.

That's because huge muscles = more injuries. Problem is, nowadays players have to develop huge muscles to compete.

Those fatasses aren't being paid millions for their job.

So you’ve never made recommendations to your supervisor? Or in this case, if you’re part of management or director level, never made recommendations to your senior executives/CEO etc as it pertains to items that may be impacting the employee experience?

Do you ever think about the fact that there are folks less fortunate than you that look at your situation and say “you’re getting paid thousands for your job.”

Just because they get made millions doesn’t mean there aren’t adjustments that can/should be made.

This “shut up and just play” mentality some have is sickening

NFL product continues to get worse and worse and yet, the players demand more money, the agents demand more money, the providers demand more money and we pay for more to get less.

Sounds about right.

One reason so many injuries happen in today’s game is because these guys don’t practice like they used to anymore.
I think its obvious. I havent researched this but this season I consider a good example of short training and explosive of injuries. I think the players Union is responsible to some degree. Not for this horrible season but seasons past

one step closer to incentive based contracts (the players won't like this, but oh well)

And the entitlement mentality is 10 times more sickening.

This whole thing was about the ability to criticize. Why do you take issue w/ the right to criticize?

Sure the owners will go for it if the players want to slide a few points of that revenue cut back to the owners.
