My plan this year is to get into watching it and see if I'll wind up liking it. I picked the Stars as my team to follow simply because...well I just did. :)

Do yourself a favor and by yourself tickets. Don't wait. Just do it. The atmosphere at most hockey venues, especially AHL and college, are outstanding. I can't imagine the atmosphere at Dallas is much different (although it is in Dallas...not exactly a big hockey town). It's not hard to pick up, but I'd wager if you go to a game or two....you'd be hooked.

I know I might sound sacreligious on here. But the Canadian team looks really really sick, and I wouldnt mind if they won. They have alot of my favorite players on that team.

we are about the only country where there is a debate about players not on the team and whether or not we could ice Canada 2 and win Gold and Silver.

The US team looks really weak this year.

I think the Gold comes down to Canada, Russia and maybe Sweden.

We are at home so we have to be favoured.

Canucks have to be favored, but I dont see how you can write off the Americans. Miller is probably the best goalie in the NHL right now.

I was thinking at first the US team wouldn't be strong at all, but after the Roster came out, the US can be a pretty good team with Miller and Thomas. I think they can get to the Bronze, with Canada with the silver and Russia with the Gold.

That was a great game today between the Pens and Wings....that Howard guy is one heckuva backup goalie. The Pens were on the assault all game and Howard held them almost completely at bay.

I missed how the Wings scored....but thank goodness for Fleury, Crosby, and Malkin in the shootout.

GO PENS

wow, that is impressive....but on Sunday, in the words of John Cena......"The Champ is here"

Hopefully, by the time Sunday rolls around, the Pens will be on a small streak of their own. They have won 4 of their last 5, and if they beat Montreal, they will have won 3 in a row. I know it isn't 11 in a row, but it is still positive momentum.

GO PENS

both teams are pretty stacked. Its too bad they couldnt play in primetime for the cup.

I have a feeling that game was going to be better than the superbowl.

i also find it hillarious that everyone keeps referring to d.c. as a hockey town now and not a football town.
