Roy also has 53 targets this year, 0 drops, and has caught 60.4 percent of balls thrown his way with a first down percentage of 41.5 percent.

Miles has 83 targets, 7 drops, caught 62.7 percent of his passes, with a first down percentage of 44.6 percent.

Numbers look pretty similar for someone who's supposed to be one of the best WR's in the league and someone who completely sucks huh? Oh except the 7 drops by Miles of course.

Roy also hasn't had multiple game stretches where he's been completely invisible as Miles and Dez have had. Roy was also Tony's go to guy in the red zone. Roy also blocks better than any of our other WR's.

Who on the Cowboys WR depth chart has been more consistant? And what information do you have to prove it?

You're forgetting that Dez has spent half the season dinged up and still catches just about every pass thrown anywhere near him

The biggest issues are still the poor route running and the uncanny ability to make huge mistakes at the most inopportune times

He was Tony's go to guy in the red zone.. and they were clicking very well before Romo went down. Pretty sure that wouldn't have happened unless Roy had drastically improved his route running, judging by their lack of any connection in the previous seasons.

The only leg you have to stand on is that he fumbled last game. He also sprang Miles with a block that if he doesn't make it, Miles doesn't score that TD. He also made a few nice catches and plays of his own that game. He also didn't make 6 other people fumble that game.

You can't just look at the few negative things you've seen this year and ignore all the positive. The fact is he'll be well worth the 5 million next year and we'll again have 3 very good WR's on the roster for Tony to throw to. If one goes down, we'll have a guy to step right in and not miss a beat in the passing game.

He also fumbled away any chance we had against Chicago. He also had the fumble against Detroit that only by the grace of God didnt hurt us. Then there were the two INTs (one by Romo, one by Kitna) that happened as a result of Roy tipping a perfectly thrown ball up in the air.

Going back to last season, he dropped three TD passes and had the huge fumble on the long reception against GB.

Going back to 2008, he led the league in drops in 15 games

Every year, including this year, Roy is good for one "***, where was that pass going?" play per game where the only players within 10 yards of a ball intended for him are defenders

You can't just look at the few negative things you've seen this year and ignore all the positive.

Tell that to Scott Norwood. And he was actually GOOD at what he did before "wide right". Losing games for your team nullifies a lot of goodwill in a hurry, and Roy didnt have much before his fumble.

Im not going to even debate with someone so biased. Roy didn't lose a game for this team all year. And he's done plenty more positive than negative. He's been consistantly good for us all season. He fumbled against the Saints.. so did 6 other guys.

Roy will be here next season competing for a job at the very least. Mark it down.

I hope he stays. He works hard and truely loves being a Cowboy. I think he would be willing to take a pay cut. WR depth is nice to to have, just ask Peyton Manning.

Of course he will, we're paying him too much to justify cutting him and nobody is dumb enough to accept that kind of contract in a trade.

If money werent an option, we might as well dump him and promote Sam Hurd

We're paying him too much to justify cutting him? What's that mean? That's the primary reason to cut him.

Or were you trying to say that we've already paid him too much to justify cutting him next season? Because that's not the way they're going to look at it.

Either he adjusts his contract, or he's gone. We've got too much talent behind him, and he's going to be a progress stopper for Bryant next season. He's also proud, and would be a quality starter on any of another 10 teams in the league still. I think he's gone.

If Roy does not catch that 2 pointer, there is no overtime and we lose 35-33.

Even though Roy fumbled last week, the defense still had a 4 point lead and let the Saints go right down the field just like they let the Colts go down the field today.

Did you see him directing his teammate to block for him to get that 1st down. That was beautiful.

I hope he finishes a Cowboy. I dont care about the contract/$

I'm just glad I don't have to spend my hard earned money to pay players like a few other fans around here seem to have to. I thought there would be a rule against that with the salary cap.

Quick question........?????

Has Austin dropped more passes this season then R.Williams did the previous season?

Just wondering but there was so much crap about RW drops...TO drops....but Austin gets a pass?

Just wondering.......dont think there is any agenda's here  :laugh2:

I don't care about the contract either. It's not my money. Roy is a team player and as quiet as it's kept, he makes plays. I say keep him. He's a nice weapon in our arsenal.

Roy had a couple of big plays in the game including a catch to convert a 1st down after a holding penalty put us at 1st and 20.

He's also directly cost us a game and cost us a chance at another

so do you hate romo? do you have barber? do you hate everyone cause at one point or another someone messes up that costs us a game

Nothing Roy can ever do will make up for the mountain of errors he has made the last three years

Being rational. Coming to Aggies everywhere in June 2012.
