it’s a troll take. That’s why Dak is 17 and Daniel Jones at 25 isn’t on the list

Pardon My Take is aptly named because this take is ridiculous.

Dak was 2nd in QB rating in 2023, 3rd in completion %. He was 6th in TD/INT ratio, and 3rd in yards. How that puts him 17th is beyond me. I get why the hype around Stroud but Dak had a higher QB rating and completion %, more TDs and more yards. Stroud also had almost 200 fewer pass attempts than Dak.

I get Dak's playoff breakdowns but it seems like he is being judge on 1 game against GB when the entire team fell apart. There are 8 QBs on that list who made it to a Super Bowl. Allen and Jackson are not two of them. Not that they are not good QBs, but if the criteria is playoff success, maybe those two guys should be lower than they are too.

It’s football talk that’s why they’re allowed but as a non-Dak guy I felt a little outraged by it not gonna lie. I didn’t post it to trash him at all actually I was just really dumb by it and wanted to defend him a bit.

I am not Dak’s biggest fan (I guess I’m considered a “hater”) and I think this is crazy talk. There is no reality where Baker, Kyler and Daniels are better than Dak. Heck there are a handful of others on this list I wouldn’t consider better than Dak. Regardless of your feelings on him he is in the top 10 QB’s.

Am I taking crazy pills?

Is this for fantasy and factoring in the first~half of the season?

Depending on the size of the fantasy format in terms of teams, Dak will have to face the:

Browns, Saints*, Ravens, Giants, Steelers*, Lions and 49ers in the first 7 weeks of the season.

*Only gave up 32 touchdowns last year. Good for tied for #3 in the league for least amount of TDs given up, with only the 49ers(31) and Ravens(26) higher.

I could see Dak falling on fantasy draft day when looking at the opponents to start out on. could be a good pickup later in the draft for the 2nd half of the season.
Not saying I agree with the ranking.

Will these new players be better than Dak eventually? Odds may be against it.
Do these new players have a higher ceiling than Dak. Absolutely.
Should you *draft* QBs based on their ceiling? Probably.

That has to be one of the worst QB rankings yet. Caleb Williams who hasn’t even played a down in the NFL at number 3? That shows how laughable it is. What has Trevor Lawrence done to be in the top 10? How about Justin Herbert who also has a losing QB record? Anthony Richardson who only played a few games at number 11? Lol Some of these bozos who come up with these lists must love looking like idiots.

you've been sucked in..when facts dont line up with anything in an argument..there is no sense in arguing it....Herbert has done nothing yet he is better in some folks eyes..the stance cant be argued factually at all..so why even argue it? Kellen Moore was going to show us all what he could do with a REAL QB..."Swing and a MISS!"
