Nick Collins

This is even more ridiculous than the idea that someone would give up a 1st and 3rd for Miles Austin.

Good grief, 2 pages and I was afraid I was going to be the first person to point that out.

just because you can doesn't mean you should.

and everything says we need a playmaking safety. Nick Collins is a playmaking safety, worthy of discussion.

After their playoff loss i dont believe much in that secondary other than maybe woodson in the games that actually count.

I disagree completely. There are some questions that simply do not need to be asked. Like should we spend a #1 pick and more on a guy.

Common sense trumps the need to even ask.

All we need to do is spread drug rumors on the eve of the draft (a la Warren Sapp) and get Eric Berry from the real UT.

:)

No. No. No. No. No. No. NO. NOOOOO!

A 1 and a 3 for Collins? Seriously? NOOOOOOO!

Unless Collins can some how be replaced by the second coming of Ronnie Lott then I don't want us giving up a 1 and 3 for him.

NO!!!!!!
Do not give up draft picks. We are fine with the players we have. Get more depth and future starters in the draft.
Draft OL with 1st 2 picks, unless someone drops to us that is a can't miss BPA. Like a Safety or can never have enough CB's. WR in 3rd, or 2nd if BPA.
I'm leaning this way as well.

C'mon, guys, I stopped pickin' on R2A when I found out how old he is... we really shouldn't practice child abuse around here!!!

I mean, I know it's FUN, but it ain't right... :D

I've said this before. You should trade or give up picks for veterans only as a last resort, and signing FAs can be almost as bad.

Does Nick Collins give us THAT much more than what we already have for the price of a 1st and 3rd? Or how about just for a 2nd rounder?

Think about it.

I had a friend growing up named Nick Collins. He was a *****.

I suspect that name is cursed.

Just so no to nick colllineses.

Or if they fall into one of two categories:
1) They are truely are special player that fills a huge hole.
2) It's via a trade and the player has a few years remaining on his current deal at a real nice number.

Not this year. We need to draft OL too badly. It's not a stupid idea. But look at the RW trade and ponder.

Thank you! But it is a valid question, Collins is a ball hawking safety, everyone and their mother on these forums wants one.

I suppose, but scenarios such as these are somewhat uncommon, and even when they do take place, it almost always seems that one of the teams involved ends up getting screwed somewhere along the way, usually in the form of finding out that the player obtained isn't who the team thought they were getting.
