I know this has been discussed before. Im of the mind that a change of scenery could help this kid. He wont be expensive, and he helps fill a hole before the draft. I know his injury history is pretty ugly, but i think Marinelli could turn this kid into a monster on the line. Thoughts?

Given other needs and available cap space, I'm using my resources elsewhere on other positions.

Fairley has a history of being lazy and out of shape. No thanks.

I feel like he would bring that level of mean to the line as well. Him with Hardy and Peterson would be a heck of an offseason in my opinion

I'd be interested. That's all I can say about it. It's tough to really offer much opinion on free agents when I have no idea what the player wants and/or what is being offered to him.

But Fairley or Nick Hayden? I may slightly lean Fairley.

I would like to get Fairley but not willing to get into a big money given the fact he has been unable to stay on the field. If Dallas can get him on a good deal great if the price tag goes to high then walk away from it.

Id give him a Melton type deal make him earn his contract the next season with an option

You lost me at Peterson......because I prefer Murray....
Hardy, yes, Fairly I wouldn't have a problem with.

I would not have an issue with that. The key is what others may be willing to offer. There are some who feel Fairley will attract a lot of attention and if that is the case and the price tag gets up there then I would walk from it.

I cant see him attracting too much attention or money. 2 game suspension, injury issues, and apparently the character issues. Who knows, maybe Linehan knows Fairley from his time there and can convince him to come learn under Marinelli.

As I said some reports I have seen they feel there could be some interest from some teams. I would like to see the Cowboys make a team friendly offer and if Fairley can get a better offer somewhere else then good for him. The reason you give of why some will not make an offer are the same reason Dallas should be careful with any contract offer they make for him and if it does not fit for Dallas don't do it. Chances are Dallas will not come out of the gates fast in FA I think Dallas is more likely to let FA market settle down before they are active

Yeah, by the slimmest of margins.
