I actually thought Foles should have been the starter last season after seeing him in preseason. Andy made a mistake IMO. He's got something, in fact there season reminds me of when Romo came in and made the pro bowl.

Mine would be -

1 Rodgers
2 Luck
3 Stafford
4 Wilson
5 Newton
6 Foles
7 Dalton
8 Kaepernick

I'm still hesitant to anoint Foles as the next big thing, though I will admit he has had a terrific year this year. I think next year he'll come back down, I don't mean to sound haterish but it does seem he has been very lucky this year. But we all know he saying, it's better to be lucky then good.

Very fair list. If mean if you consider 30 young enough to build around than Rodgers is a no brainer. To all those doubting Stafford - I simply don't agree.

Btw - my laptop is out for repair which is why I've barely been posting, and when I do it's been bare posts.

Any mention of Stafford is a joke. Most overrated QB in the league. And Dalton is another Matt Ryan.

1. Luck
2. Newton
3. Wilson
4. Foles
5. RG3...Remember Newton had a down sophmore year in the NFL. Think rg3 still belongs on the list because we saw what he is capable of in his rookie season. Give him a chance to develop as a pocket passer this offseason and we'll see.

No Newton didn't.

Until RGIII can learn to play in the pocket, learn to read defenses and gets better mechanics (his feet when he throws are god awful) he won't ever be where the top guys are. He's got all the tools. Just needs to put in the time to get better and lose the DIVA attitude right away. He can be great or just average. Its all up to him. At this point I'd much rather have Wilson. The Commanders would be right in the mix if Wilson was on their team. Ditto for Newton as well.

Couple of things...

1) I don't know that I'm fully sold on Mr. Foles yet. He seems like a pretty good QB. But I'm not 100% on him just yet.

2) Luck is at the top of that list in every way, shape, or form and to have anyone above him is beyond silly.

3) I'm not sure if this is more of a damning proclamation of the coming of Foles or not. You do have the habit of proclaiming players amazing, elite, and what not in a huge hurry and then it fizzles and flames out. Kind of like a certain WR here. So it's hard for me to take too much of this with more than a grain of salt.

I think a good head coach would do wonders for him, but sadly he has Schwarts. Stafford needs a coach to reel him in, he has a great arm but he just relies on it too much. You're crazy if you don't think Stafford is one of the best young QBs in the NFL. And his mechanics are terrible, he needs a coach to straighten that crap all out. He's a young talented QB with one of the biggest arms in the NFL, any coach in the lague would love to work with that.

So basically, he is Jeff George?

Wow... Exaggerate much?

Didn't Foles get shut down like it was last call and you're a cross-eyed red head last time we played?

Hype Monster is stalking this forum lately. Big Time.

Andrew Luck is under 60 percent completion percentage for this year and career. He's something like 29th in the league in yards per attempt. He might become great. At this point, he's overrated.

Lol no. Foles just happened to luck out with chip kelly coming to Philly. He does not have the skill set of a top NFL QB. He is accurate with short and medium passes and makes smart decisions, I'll give him that. But he can't move his feet in the pocket and he has at best mediocre arm strength. I'm pretty confident you could replace Foles with someone like Alex Smith and there would be 0 drop off.

Yeah, because just any QB can throw 25 TDs vs 2 Interceptions and have a 119 QB rating.

Skewed stats by the system and weapons around him. 52% of his yards were from YAC. Meaning a lot of dump offs and screens that were turned into big plays. Like I said, he's a perfectly serviceable starting QB in the NFL, but all you have to do is watch him to see that he doesn't belong in the "elite" category of any list. His ball flutters on deep passes and he has no fastball to speak of to fit a pass into a tight spot. Unless Chip is more of a genius than I thought these things are going to catch up to him eventually.
