How did he outplay Mahomes when he had a fumble for 6 points that cost his team the game?
Greatest performance by a QB in the history of the game.

1. Hurts became the first player in NFL history to throw for 300 yards, run for 70 yards, complete 70 percent of his passes and rush for three touchdowns – in any game, regular season, postseason or Super Bowl. Only four others have thrown for 300 yards, run for 70 yards and completed 70 percent of their passes – Daunte Culpepper, Michael Vick, Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson. Hurts is also the first quarterback in Super Bowl history to throw for 300 yards and complete 70 percent of his passes without an interception.

2. Including his two-point conversion, Hurts scored 20 points, the 5th-most ever in a playoff game and tied for the most in a Super Bowl with the Patriots’ James White, who scored 20 in 2016 against the Falcons. The previous Eagles playoff scoring record was 16 by kicker Gary Anderson in the 58-37 win over the Lions in a 1995 wild-card game (three field goals, seven PATs). The previous scoring high for a QB in the postseason was 18 points by Otto Graham in the Browns win over the Lions in the 1954 NFL Championship Game at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Hurts tied the Eagles’ single-game scoring record for any game. He had 20 points – three rushing TDs and a two-point conversion – in the win over the Bears in December.

3. Hurts’ three rushing touchdowns tied the Super Bowl record set by Hall of Famer Terrell Davis of the Broncos in their Super Bowl XXXII win over the Packers in San Diego. Only four players have more career rushing TDs in the Super Bowl than Hurts: Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith (5), John Elway (4), Franco Harris (4) and Thurman Thomas (4). Hurts now has three of the Eagles’ four all-time Super Bowl rushing touchdowns (LeGarrette Blount has the other).

4. Hurts’ eight total TDs this postseason – three passing, five rushing – are the most ever by an Eagles QB in a single postseason. McNabb had seven twice – in 2001 (five passing, two rushing) and 2004 (seven passing). He’s the fifth QB in history with at least three TDs both passing and rushing in the same postseason.

5. Not only was Hurts’ 103.4 passer rating the highest by a quarterback under 25 in a Super Bowl, it was the highest by 17 points. The previous high was Tom Brady’s 86.2 in Super Bowl XXXVI vs. the Rams in New Orleans after the 2001 season. Hurts is the youngest QB to have a completion percentage over 70 in a Super Bowl, the youngest QB to throw for 300 yards without an interception in a Super Bowl and the youngest with four total TDs in a Super Bowl.

6. Hurts’ 70 rushing yards are a Super Bowl record, six more than Steve McNair of the Titans had vs. the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV against the Rams in Atlanta. His five career postseason rushing touchdowns are already second-most in Eagles history, one fewer than Wilbert Montgomery from 1978 through 1981. Hurts is only the 11th player in history with four career postseason TD passes and four career TD runs.

7. Hurts now has nine total touchdowns in his first four career postseason games – four passing, five rushing. Only five quarterbacks in history have had more in their first four career playoff games: Patrick Mahomes (13), Kurt Warner (12), Aaron Rodgers (12), Alex Smith (11), Dan Marino (10).

somehow a Hurts discussion gets injected with a Dak comment. hey, look over there ...Squirrel

Hurts had one of the strongest supporting casts in the NFL. the best OL, top 3 WR, top 5 TE, top 5 running game, top 3 defense. he did better with those type of resources in 2022, compared to 2021, which clearly shows he is not able to carry a team by himself and needs a lot of support. with that said, with that level of support he was able to get to the superbowl. which is all one can ask.

so Dak haters worshiping Hurts and coming up with excuses for him is a bit strange. unless they are closet eagles fans. which we have a few amongst us
However good or bad Hurts is the Eagles have concentrated on the other ten guys that start on their offense, too. Their defense is above average as well. If Hurts was their only star they’d be a two or three win team.

You make no sense with a bunch of games he sat on the bench. Please explain.
The original tweet said he played 38 games. You recalculated for 49 games. He didn’t start in those games. He sat on the bench and played a snap or two, although he still managed to fumble. Using games where someone played one snap vs games where someone started and played the whole game is not accurate. It’s dishonest, bad faith trolling. I called you out on it. You can’t handle that so you had what for normal people would be an embarrassing meltdown but you being here shows your immunity to shame so it had no effect. Now you’ve spent ten posts avoiding the reality that your QB has never had a single impressive win. And are back to not understanding basic statistics. You should sincerely ask yourself why your insecurities have forced you to spend your time here. Why you as an Eagles troll were never aware that your QB hasn’t beaten a single good QB in his life. Why do you think Dak is terrible when he’s 9-3 vs the Eagles. All of these questions have the same answer. You’re a victim of narrative manipulation unable to formulate your own opinions but guided by the nose of whatever other trolls want you to believe. It is an intensely sad state of affairs that is honestly perplexing to those of us with the capacity to see through basic misinformation but an extremely common occurrence. What’s crazy is that you’ve gone through your whole life suffering this situation without a single clue, while all those around you have no recourse but to laugh.

Trust me. I dislike Hurts a lot. He is a gadget QB that has had a lot of luck.

But I am also honest with myself. Hurts has accomplished a LOT MORE than Dak in a LOT LESS time.
I don't disagree with him having accomplished more. but like I said, he has had a lot more too.

Your opinion is about as valuable as a spent toilet paper roll so just go do your typical crying BS to people that agree with you.
It's not MY opinion.

NFL players, coaches, scouts and execs ranked Dak as a top 9 NFL QB.

Those are the people who you think you know better than, Laughingstock.

Those are the people who "agree with me," Laughingstock.

I definitely consider Dak to be a top 10 QB. We all are frustrated by his play when it matters the most though and rightly so. Shades of Tony Romo uh???

I stopped caring what the "EXPERT" football analyst say a long time ago. The only one that really gets under my skin is Stephen A. Smith. The only reason he sill has a job is because he is always hatin on the BOYS.

Interesting….I’ve never heard Nick Wright say anything too crazy…I’ve heard Skip make fun of Dak for depression and lies on Aikman about being gay….
Hey, I didn't say Skip wasn't a total knucklehead.
I'm talking more about the history of analyzing QBs and basically saying Wright is even below the very low bar set by Bayless.

Jalen Hurts against starting QBs on good teams-

2021 0-6 lol
Jimmy G Loss
Dak loss
Pat Mahomes Loss
Tom Brady Loss
Justin Herbert Loss
Tom Brady Loss

2022
Kirk Cousins?
Daniel Jones?
Kyler Murray?
Cooper Rush?
Josh Johnson?
Aaron Rodgers and the 8-9 Packers?

I don’t think he has beat a single good team with a good QB in his career so far.

To be fair to Wright, maybe he's come around some. I hadn't watched him much since 2021

He attempted like three passes in those 11 games. 38 as in the original tweet is accurate. Your number is insanely cherry picked and the definition of bad faith. Only one of us can count and it’s the same one interested in intellectual honesty. You’re the definition of a troll.

But let’s roll with it.

Jalen Hurts averages 175 yards a game.

Dak averages 260.

Jalen Hurts averages less than one TD per game.

Dak averages 1.7

Jalen Hurts is 26-18-1

Dak is 61-36

Dang these guys aren’t even close.
Hurts went to an NFCCG and the Super Bowl.....Dak, well he has mattress commercials

Kind of like how anyone who doesnt like him is here at 5 am after game day posting every single possible article, video, tweet about how bad he is? It goes both ways.
Ask the mods to compare # of pro-Dak threads started by the homers versus the anti-Dak thread by his critics......guarantee you that the Dak fan threads far outnumber the others by a significant number.

Thanks for pointing that out!

It’s because in the last 2 years they’ve won 24 games. To 4 losses.

Quite obvious there would be more pro Dak threads no?

If you were capable of addressing someone’s argument you would not be left to fight off strawmen but sadly simply formulating an argument exceeds your grasp. Now imagine that understanding the complexities of quarterback play in the NFL is substantially more difficult…

For Dak 'Choker' Prescott 2+2 is a complicated equation so now imagine him trying to read a defense.

And he lost the game. He fumbled and gave a score to the other team...nuff said
