You know how ridiculous this sounds, right? Someone could just as easily say Dak lost to a 7th round draft pick in the playoffs while compiling a 2-4 overall playoff record...while the guy you're dissing came damn near to beating Mahomes and Reid in the Super Bowl. If you are going to defend Dak, bring up the playoffs is generally not a good thing to do.
Dak vs. Hurts in the playoffs
Record
Dak: 2-4, Hurts, 2-2. Advantage Hurts
Completion %
Dak: 63.4, Hurts, 62.3. Advantage Dak
Yards per game
Dak: 259.8, Hurts 209.3. Advantage Dak
Interception %
Dak: 2.3, Hurts, 1.5. Advantage Hurts
Most of the good passing stats will favor Dak (I'm typing all of them out), but the offense was geared toward Dak's passing more than the overall passing/running of Hurts. Hurts also had the advantage of an offensive line that allowed for the coaching staff to implement the type of game that took full advantage of Hurts's skill set. On the other hand, MM is a much more experienced head coach than Sirianni, so that should count for something.
These Dak/Hurts comparisons make no sense without full context, which Dak lovers and Dak haters do not bother to fully include in the narrative. Both sides are being intellectually dishonest, and am using the intellectually part with a good deal of cringe.
