NIL deals going crazy

Wow. That just shows you the market for top tier QB prospects. Good for him.

I'd rather have a guy thats been putting up numbers at a small college like North Texas than one fresh out of high school. This kid is going to hit the ground running. How many freshman do that? So, you get more bang for your buck.

you are going to see more of this
imagine if Romo was at Northern Illinois right now putting up the numbers he had there.
he would be getting an offer from a big school.
who knows how much that could have helped him improve

More and more schools with the money are going to be poaching small school talent.
This is also already having an effect; more and more are staying in college longer because the NIL money is THERE
the pro game is a gamble unless you can be sure you are a first rd pick

I like this new system for the development of QBs. Those guys need time to develop and most aren't ready to step on a power conference field as freshman so they sit. I think its better for them to go to a smaller school and get reps in an actual game.

start out small and move up is a tried and proven way to develop

QBs above all other positions need this

and two or three years more developing in college leaves them much more mature and ready for the pro game

this could very well cut down on the number of busts drafted in the first rd

AND as long as QB careers can last now, its not a factor for whichever team gets them

look at how many thought Arch would be fine coming out of college to the pros in the next draft and how clearly wrong they were
He needs at least one more year to develop

Arch is truly a baffling case. But they were paying him a ton of money to wait. I just don't understand why he didn't leave after his freshman year when Ewers announced he was coming back. Surely Arch could have found his money somewhere else and played.

I wonder if he thought the fix was in and believed he would be starting no matter what?
and realized he did not have anything on paper saying this; and decided (or more likely his family decided) that making a stink about it was a bad idea

Arch will be fine and made the right decision.
He is considered the early choice to go 1 overall next NFL draft.

5M to be a back up with no pressure and develop in a world class city with Texas girls all around you?
I mean, come on.....

And he got it together this year it just took 2/3 of the season to do so.
UT has the money to get him studs at every position.

I think IU is proving that being the richest doesn't mean as much as you think.

This is not even a top tier school

I have a feeling a lot of the numbers we have been seeing are deliberately low
OSU has oil money. Perfect example of a school with means flying under the radar. I think going forward we will see bidding wars for QBs in particular. Thats why contracts are probably around the corner. We will see more situations like Carson Beck cashing in and leaving UGA for Miami until that happens. There are tons of schools that can pool cash and buy specific players. I wonder what kind of offers Jeremiah Smith is getting this offseason?

the arch bots are so amusing
only fools would consider him the #1 choice now
frankly probably the same fools that had Jumongous Russel and Ryan Leaf as the top picks

Yeah, I am not seeing it. Maybe he comes back next year and looks better with a better supporting cast? Who knows. It's just odd that a school like Texas who can afford to surround him with studs apparently missed so badly on their OL and skill position signings.

If Texas lands Cam Coleman WR from Auburn ill be very happy.
Texas got Raleek Brown the Big 12 top RB today.
And Ian Geffrard DT from Arkansas,

Coaching. That has been the Texas weak spot for quite a while

They have one of the highest paid and sought after coaches in college directly from the Saban coaching tree. They just don't have any NFL talent around Arch. Nobody is going to be drafting any WRs or RBs from Texas in the first few rounds. I don't even think they have an OL thats going to crack the top half of the draft in April.

I'd say it's the people who see red every he's mentioned that may want to take a deep breath. The talent is obvious. Will he develop or will he flame out? Who knows. Let it unfold and see what happens.

The Arch Bots deserve all the heat they get
as regards talent, there is literally 100 others out there in college football with just as much talent.
What make a QB is what is between the ears and so far Arch is nothing special there

No offense but you have a couple screws loose on this topic.
